  • it sounds like he is crying with his guitar at the end. fuckin genius

  • @chostymusic look "Einstein", I deleted my own comment to add something else. If you have nothing to add please don't waste people's time with useless comments. What a loser.

But since I am already wasting my time, let me tell you one very simple thing before you get too old to understand: I use as many words as I want, and I write the way I want. 1000 words, 10000 words, it's not going to be you who's gonna tell me how to write. Get a life.

  • @otavioandradas well i was always told, it's quality not quantity and that time is money and more importantly i slept with your misses.

  • @chostymusic look "Einstein", English is not even my first language. It's ridiculous that instead of praising the song you had to criticize my "excessive" use of words. Perhaps you should focus on improving your "timing" instead of criticizing what people write on YT. After all, in music TIME IS NOT MONEY - but I think you haven't gotten to that level yet. Hopefully you will, hopefully will...I am not as negative as you are.

  • lol didnt i just insult someone on here? lol..haha..he got deleted..what a milk.

  • @chostymusic pathetic. grow up, kid.

  • classy move, not singing.

  • claps, Y U SO OFF BEAT?!

  • Darn! I can't stop crying! I'm just in an internet shop! People are looking at me!

  • essa hora do velório deu pra chorar.....bunito dmais..

  • what the name of this music?

  • @coisasdavidavlog1 Human Nature

  • cool rendition maaaaan

  • Theren

  • I like Two Rock and Dumble top sitting side by side :)

  • i remember watching this and his cover just lightened the mood a bit. Such a beautiful cover

  • great message John sends out here. Really did make it feel like there was something missing... Cause there is. R.I.P Michael

  • michael jackson the biggest star of rock

  • this is the jazzy blues feel

  • Not really a John Mayer fan, but this performance can not be denied. It was totally awesome!!! Thank You John Mayer.

  • Didn't speak a single word the whole time he was on stage. Nothing needed to be said. His guitar playing put more emotion into it than any sang words could. Such feeling. Such power. Such emotion.

  • Michael....29 montsh ago i was wacthing this....its surreal to think that Human Nature will never be performed by you.....there is something about this song that just hits me deep inside.

You are the real thing Michael and that's why you will be honored and loved forever.

RIP - that's all for L.O.V.E. and love lives forever

  • this amazing!!!

  • show off..john mayer guitar hero?? lmao

  • @keverinkarama They see John Playin, They Hatin

  • @NivelB1 yeah and for a reason. some people are inappropriately dismissed as 'haters'. that must make john mayer and lil wayne feel good about themselves.

  • @keverinkarama Every hater feel just envy.

  • @NivelB1 Every fanboy just says the same thing; hand waiving, quick cliche one liners; everybody who criticizes you is just jealous of you aren't they? lol

  • @keverinkarama You cant say Mayer is a bad guitar player, even if you dont like his music.

  • @NivelB1 nah you can. but it more of him being a poser more than anything. no i dont like his taste in playing; how much does it take to create this "music" he does here; it sounds the way it's supposed to sound - to appeal to the crowd of a Michael jackson funeral...a few guitar fiddling here and there that sounds cute, him feeling his shit. and it's already touched the hearts of masses. not because it's actually good (it aint) - but because he's playing Human Nature on the guitar.

  • @keverinkarama who the hell are you to say that lol. He's a great guitarist honoring one of the best musicians of our day. If you are a fan of MJ or a musician at all, you should appreciate this performance greatly.

  • @blok31092 it really aint much man. im not gonna be the one to convince you coz people are usually stubborn and biased. but i hope you improve your musical palate someday.

  • @keverinkarama funny, I see you playing with Eric Clapton and BB King... right? Oh wait. Never mind.

  • @JamesP09 oh what an excuse. i mean hand waive.

  • @keverinkarama Come on dude... you're talking about being stubborn and biased when your comments reek of both. If you don't like his music that's fine and completely understandable, but to say he's not a great guitarist is proving your own theory completely. You can't deny he has talent... he plays all different types of music, including some very good Blues guitar. You think Rene Martinez would tour with someone who didn't have chops? The guy toured with SRV and Santana! Shame you don't see it.

  • @NivelB1 You're right...he's terrible.

  • classic performance

  • The other performances were good but i actually teared up when he started playing this idk y

  • Thanks John, you did Michael's song justice. Love this version, you have just lifted my spirits!! :-)

  • a really great instrumental version of a great song!!

BTW MJ did not care for eminems poking fun of him and niether do i. no respect

  • One of my favorite things to watch. Thanks for posting.

  • i already loved this song, After he played one note..

  • Michaellllll.....

    Come...

    Back

  • This was an amazing cover in tribute to an amazing man. If someone tells you they don't like Michael Jackson, they do not know the soul of pop music. Metal, rap, gangsta rap, modern blues, country all have some sliver of influence from pop. Whether it be a stolen/borrowed riff, or a lyirc, or even a whim, or a dream, Michael weaved that for everyone. RIP, sir. You were taken from us too soon.

  • Michael....28 months ago today......This is.....more than beautiful....Human Nature is an amazing song.

Althoug there is nothing to celebrate....JUSTICE was made for you MICHAEL. Our beloved Michael JACKSON.

Maybe now you can rest in peace as well as your children, your mother and everybody else who loved you. (tears)

That's all for L.O.V.E. and love lives forever

  • @otavioandradas You are so RIGHT!! Michael Jackson is beyond Pop music....He is the music itself. Michael Jackson and you don't have to say anything else. Loved your coment

  • @otavioandradas Amen to that

  • john mayer - king of blues

michael jackson - king of pop

doug heffernan - king of queens

  • @TheShower82 John mayer - the king of blues ?! thats the biggest joke i have heard all day !

B.B King is the King of blues, after him is Joe Bonamassa ! Mayer isn't even close to that title...

Mayer is good, but not that good...

  • @vLsCsNiPeRs not a huge bb king fan,i prefer srv and clapton but u seem to have it all figured out. well done

  • @vLsCsNiPeRs :Chris brown is the king of Blues.......Oh i mean whooping ass,i always get those 2 mixed up.

  • made me cry. even the guitar sounds depressed. R.I.P MJ my love <3

  • this performance still gives me chills 2 years later.

  • @Funnypandalonies give the chills too. Its freaking amazing

  • THis whole song is amazing. I just love John Maye and Michael Jackson. my favorite part is just the beginning to 0:53. I hate it when everyone like the backup singers and stuff join in. I thought it should just be John and his guitar. That's all. That'd be the best. Still this is great and amazing.

  • @Blinkyboy99 who the fuck cares?

  • siiiiick..!

  • very classy John, a touching salute to M.J

  • tears :( i miss my childhood idol

  • this was so lovely!!!!!!!!!!! still love it like I will always love Michael!!!!!!!!

  • the guitar is crying

  • @You1TubeExaminer Your comment is the best i've ever seen. Yes guitar is crying.

  • See that girl...She knows that I'm watching... She likes the way I stare....

My favorite part.... <3 MJ rocks!

  • this sad

  • NICE FENDER!!!! :DDD

  • People may disagree with me but this was by far the best tribute to MJ no singing the lead vocals, just John's guitar playing. Gave me goosebumps!

  • @MegS182 I so agree with you on this point. The other artists were good but the sadness overwhelming to the point of me turning off.

  • @MegS182 I totally agree with you on that :)

  • I couldn't watch the whole thing. I'm at work and would have been crying like a baby at my desk.

  • If anyone needs tabs, send me a message !

  • He is for Real Playin that guitar!! Great job John Mayer! ..RIP MJ:(

  • His performance was the best...it was touching, and he did a great job!!!!!!

  • Is someone actually comparing Nirvana and Michael Jackson? Hahaha i love YouTube oo oo lets do Eminem and Fleetwood Mac next!!!

  • @alucard217 What a great comparison - two artistic influences that changed music. Perfect! The essence of comparison taking 2 things and showing how they are similar - brilliant!!!

  • @alucard217 LOL

  • @1:40 Ha! I knew it! He's not perfect!

    Pretty damn close though lol!

  • @Rakaenon I don't think anyone nailed it on that day to be honest. Just watch Usher's performance, he's in pieces.

  • only a fender could

  • only a fender could

  • CLASSIC ISH

  • ...im not a fan of Mayer, but after this rendition....i....am...a, lets say I digg his music now.

  • that was amazing

  • I love how he just picks up a plectrum in the middle of an awesome solo, easy on.

  • Can someone please get rid of those ads?? seriously

  • John nailed it...soft,caressing our memories. gREAT WORK, HE WAS ONE OF THE FEW TO IMMEDIATELY REACT, SHOWS HIS RESPECT,HONOUR TO HIS ART, HIS PRIORS, Mayer said, in a meaning as follows '............one of our timeless cultural art...........has passed away ' so right.

  • don't like mayer that much, but this is great

  • 23 people who dislikes must be apart of the illuminati

  • My two favourite artists michael jackson and john mayer together!

  • OMG.........wow, john meyer <3... amazing tribute lovee it :) x

  • Michael...26 months ago and still hurts. I coulnd't wait to get home and finally be able to cry ....it was so hard to put myself during this.

Human Nature just breaks me....i can't explain the meaning of the song to me when i listen to.

I hope you feel all this LOVE that is eternal and forever thankfull.

RIP - that's all for L.O.V.E. and love lives forever

  • @TheJulianarodrigues did you cry for the children he whos dicks he sucked...wow our minds are so fucked up...look I like his music to but people like you give this pervert a pass...your just as sick as he is!!!

  • @emacification

Chill out. If you really believe those things about Michael Jackson, what're you doing hanging around videos dedicated to him? A person who leaves comments as hateful and poorly argumented as yours is merely showing how desperate for attention you are. Have some respect, dude, and find something a bit more productive to do with your time.

  • @RedLipsMarie Everyone is entitled to their opinion though, however I do agree that people shouldn't waste their time "trolling" videos (especially if they aren't going to craft valid arguments such as the fact that Jackson wasn't as consistent of an artist as artists such as Hendrix/Nirvana/The Beatles were in their respective recorded work).

  • @BlueRevolver You're comparing Nirvana to Michael Jackson!? Michael was an artist his entire life. You're right, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but your opinion is obviously asinine and so far off that you shouldn't be commenting.

  • Yes I am comparing them as they were both popular artists that released critically acclaimed albums and you can look at the data derived from aggregate reviews (i.e. Metacritic) to compare statistically the quality of their entire body of work. Nirvana has a higher percentage on average than Michael Jackson does. To be fair though, Nirvana NEVER put out an album as bad as Michael later releases (look at aggregate reviews once again).

  • “Thriller” was an amazing album but It’s a good thing Michael Jackson is dead so we won’t have to listen to anything as dreadful as “Invincible” again.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but people like you who base their analysis on emotions and not data (while simultaneously trying to state facts) shouldn’t comment.

  • @BlueRevolver My opinion was based on fact and not emotion you imbecile. Your opinions however, are based on nonsensical drivel, or possibly from your mommy dropping you as a baby one to many times. Why don't you leave the basement, go upstairs and ask her why she hated you so much. I don't blame her.

  • @lhsowdal Your opinion is based on fact? Maybe you should do research before commenting on here and posting your past, repressed childhood-abuse experiences.

  • @lhsowdal Here are some facts for you (from Metacritic):

Michael Jackson Average Album career score: 52

Nirvana Average Album career score: 84

  • @BlueRevolver Yep, everyone's a critic. But album sales speak for themselves. MJ sold over 300 million records worldwide. Nirvana sold somewhere around 50 million worldwide. MJ has influenced artists in almost every genre. No offense to the guy, but Kurt Cobain? Not so much...

  • @carsguitars92 Yeah I'm not debating that-Michael was more influential than Nirvana... His music was much more universal than Nirvana's was. I was just making the point that Nirvana was more consistent with their albums and supported my statement with actual numbers from collective reviews. Critically Nirvana were stronger but Michael will always be more universally appealing. The Beatles and Elvis may be the only ones ahead of MJ in that way...

  • @BlueRevolver I guess...but how many years were Nirvana a band? Like 5? Whereas Michael had been a performer since he was 5. You can't really compare the two.

  • @BlueRevolver What I mean is, would they have stayed consistent had Cobain been alive? I doubt it.

  • @carsguitars92 Hypothetical question, as history showed-they were a very consistent band (hence the 84% Metacritic average album career score vs Michael Jackson's 52%)... Nirvana never made an album as bad as Michael Jackson's "Invincible." Anyways, Michael Jackson did make some great albums but he wasn't even as consistent as Jay-Z who has put out more solo albums (and has a career average of 75% on Metacritic).

  • @BlueRevolver Album Score? Who scores it and what is it based on you moron? Michael Jackson sold more than 110 million albums. Nirvana 30 million. Enough said you jackass.

  • @lhsowdal You are a complete idiot-do you know what "aggregate critical review" means? It means the collective critical reviews for the albums summed up and taken an average. What do sales figures have to do with that?

  • @BlueRevolver lol you jokester :'] How are you even comparing them?

  • @RedLipsMarie wow..Im so sorry..I didnt realize you are retarded!! I said I liked his music and it was to bad he turned into a freaky pervert that liked to suck little boys dicks..got it? I respect his music but you and me part company with the little boy wennie sucking. But again...retards have a problem understanding whats important in life. Maybe you like sucking little boy dicks to? aaaahhhhh ok I see..your a pervert like Micheal was...happy wennie sucking mate...

  • @Vems871119 this song makes me cry too

  • It wud have sounded better if it was jus John Mayer and his guitar accapella wuda ben best

  • We're a new channel of two childhood friends from sweden called MartonMusic who after years of discussing finally made our own channel and two covers to start of with, we continually put out new videos for you and we really hope you see what kind of effort we put in, if you give us a chance we'll show you that we're diffrent. I'd love nothing more than a liking / view / subscribtion from you, even a thumbs up on this message would make such a huge diffrence it's unreal, thank you for reading!

  • wow 3:14 to 3:43 anyone know how to play that cos i wanna know lol

  • After two years I still get emotional listening to this. I think this performance soothed everybody, it was relaxing.

  • Kamtvable

  • i think john mayers didnt sing because he felt like his voice couldnt match with michael jacksons. which is understandable plus he was probably still emtional.

  • @TRIECEYMARIE6 actually, he said he didnt sing because he was leaving MIchael's place open for him. He thought it was more respectful.

  • @ak231510

that's also what I tought.... just a little bit then...

  • For some reason.. john mayer really make it sound so touching and nice :)

  • this is one of my favourite tributes :)

  • That¤

  • He killed thar

  • dude this was so dope yo

  • MJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think john couldn't sing because he was too emotional

  • This was such an awesome performance!!! I think Michael would have enjoyed this lovely rendention of "Human Nature"; I know I did. Rest in peace MJ.

  • i know this probably wont get me much views but its worth the try. my name is kam and im a 16 year old rapper from nyc. my dad was signed to atlantic records (craig g) some years ago. i know i have some potential i just need to get my name out there. this has been my dream since i was 4 years old and im just asking you guys to take 3 minutes out your day and listen to my songs and give me feedback. thumbs this up so other people can see. good reviews so far thanks youtube

  • yo Back-Up singers its Jon Mayer's tribute get it?

  • John Mayer + the Guitar = AWESOME :D

John Mayer + the Guitar + the BACK-Up Singers = ughh

  • I have been a JM fan since day one, but this is BEYOND cool!!!!! Great job, bro!!!

  • Skills.

  • only john mayer could....beautiful

  • the back-up singers should stop singing!

  • @ariamsirecnirp Hahahahaha, those Backup singers are Michael's vocal coach and backup singers (seriously though) =) lmao

  • @ariamsirecnirp well, not his vocal coach but those ARE his back up singers, my bad

  • why did Michael have to die?!

  • mayer wish he could notes like michael, but he knew it couldnt be consistant. so he played through guitar. it still sounds beautiful though.

  • 0.47 bubblehead. xdd.

  • STOP CLAPPING! :P

  • -33

  • This is the minute it all hit me and I broke down crying.

  • this is absolutely beautiful...

  • geez john mayer put the emotions in the guitar... the music is put together soo good cause of that...

  • If he sang to that it would be even more amazing :D

    R.I.P michael x

  • @whopperRC

Maybe the idea was that MJ should be alive and sing the song with John, but he couldn't

  • this still brings tears to my eyes R.I.P MJ!

  • "ENOUGH, JOHN MAYER!!!"

  • john spoke in the only way he could: with his guitar.

and he said enough with this performance.

  • Michael....Human Nature breaks me....

It is too painful....25 months ago i was watching this and i still can feel the same empty and sadness after all this time. Actually this void will remain cause you are our most pure and magical treasure..(tears)

RIP - that's all for L.O.V.E. and love lives forever

  • it would be easier to count all the artists who were not inspired or influenced by Michael!

  • take you dislikes else where haters

god its his funeral for crying out loud, be respectful

  • this was the best performance at the memorial.. didnt have to use his voice to sing, just let his guitar do the singing.. amazing stuff

  • if was born a guitar. my dream is to be played by john mayer.

  • John Mayer must be a huge Jeff Beck fan. His phrasing and whole very Beck-esque. Beck is the guitar what MJ was to pop music - the master.

  • I LOVE MAYERRRR!!!!

  • the trick to subliminal advertising is to not be so obvious with the links...lol

  • @jogabonito15 lol it annoyed me...

  • is he playing with a nashguitar??? if yes, that's cool ..!

  • John Mayer is the TRUTH!

The first time I saw John Mayer play was when he did Gravity at the Grammys

I was pretty much in shock.

  • John Mayer is the TRUTH!

  • When I was watching the memorial, I hadn't cried through the whole thing...then this part came, and it turned me into a little bitch.

  • This is were I discovered him :)

  • that was nice

  • @WhyYouJelly God was hosting a dance off and he needed to fill the final spot.
