what he did to become the best was learn from his mistakes, his defenders kept reading his moves so he changed them and fixed his mistakes and figured out many different options in being a defender and offencer
this is a good vid should've done it with 10 people so you can show all the positions like the inside defenders in the middle have to move right to left depending where the ball goes
MJ said himself a couple of times that he learned from the people that came before him, Bird and Erving to name a few. I forget in which interview he mentioned it, but that's basically all it is to a legend - how well you can integrate and build on what's already been set up for you.
Kaede Rukawa was patterned after Michael Jordan. While Hanamichi Sakuragi was patterned after Dennis Rodman. Why do you think Shohoku's colors are red, black & white? :)
weather he tought himself or got tought hes still an inspiration, but knowing he made it mostly through his own hard work is enough to encourage anyone! ive started practicing for 4 hours on average each day and doing a couple of hours work out an fitness. hopefully with my own detirmination i can go somewhere to!
the three dislikes are from the three other people in the video that got destroyed by MJ single-handedly

I am telling you. MJ "is" the master of Kaede Rukawa.

The only thing is Rukawa didn't know how to pass until later on. Jordan does.

I have to agree. The Japanese anime 'slam dunk' is greatly modelled after the modern NBA. The anime is nothing short of great basketball action too.
