@kami774 I am studying to become a commercial pilot. If you would like to study in pakistan it would save you a great amount of money. However the downside is that it would be difficult for you to get a job with a uk based airline. If pakistan is still your option then take your qualification to pakistan and join a flying club. It depends where you live in pakistan as well. I live near Rawalpindi and my grandad is the mayor of islamabad so it is easy for me. If you want more info reply to me.
Met with the newly appointed Managing Director of PIA recently Mr. Haroon. Very nice man, he will take care of PIA well and is planning to expand PIA's fleet and operations immensely.
@syedm90 Whatever plann he has,, PIA can't become standard airlines till appointments on all posts not start from marit.Right now more then 80% of staff don't deserve to be in any airline.Please think on nation intrust stop appointment on political,language ground.
Does pakistan have private airlines in the country or is it just PIA for domestic too? India has about 8 major private airline companies -- and one of them has already purchased five A380 planes!
@IndianBrownMale There are several other carriers Shaheen, Air Blue, Raji and couple more I can't recall the names now and one cargo only carrier as well. Shaheen mostly fly to Middle East where as Air Blue fly to Middle East and U.K.

Its just the bureaucrats and politicians it serves they got special quotas to travel in other words they have seats and special fare available no matter when they want.
