  • hard to beleive something that ugly and rotted would run and drive but looks dont matter so hook a bush hog to her and mow the pasture

  • when I attached the leads to the starter and the other to the engine, the starter whizzes round .. is that right ? before I cross the selenoid ? Many thanks :)

  • @ijsbankz if you connect to the big terminal the starter should not turn until you cross to the solenoid.

  • This is brilliant . We have one of these sat in the yard that pulled out from the hedging last week . would love to start it .. any advise ? or info on where to get started on it ? Thankyou. what did you attach the jump cables to ?

  • There is nothing like the old iron THANK YOU for not scraping it These are amazing pieces of history I would love to have a old tractor Ive owned them before plus bobcats and a old Bombardiar sidewalk plow that I restored hated selling it but always on the hunt for new pieces and room is limited the fun part is restoring them in my opinion then I seem to lose interest till I find another basket case. Good luck on the restoration

  • That salty sea air can be quite a destructive force but that ol' M/F still ticking over! It's a beautiful thing to see something plucked from certain doom and given the chance to be useful again. Best wishes with this project.

I have every faith in the lads, Another day in the life of a West Cork mechanic.

Did you enjoy the Video I sent you

  • It looks as though you'll all will be busy over the next two weeks The glories of the West Cork coast and the things you can pick up there. Love the cartoon.

  • Thanks for the plug for my cartoons, Chris. I thought this Ferguson resurrection vid was eyepopping. Makes you wonder how many more of these things buried in hedges would start up again with the minimum of tinkering. I always said you were West Corks answer to Fred Dibnah! More wrecks please, dead or alive! Cheers. Tom

  • Thanks Chris. You just cant keep a good diesel down. Sounded as sweet as a nut. I did my diesel apprenticeship with Rolls Royce and still have a passion for them. Power steering! He could do with a seat! Sure it will be up and restored in time. Good luck to the team. Regards.
