  • this debate is laughable ,its a cowardly maneuver . UFC wouldn't deny any pro boxer participation any boxer can (and some did) come to mma and prove himself prove that boxing Reigns supreme why mma ? why not the boxing ring ? because mma is the only platform in which anyone can compete without limitation on their skill-set and its the only way to test different fighting styles So why does the boxing fans are wiling to ran their mouths but won't agree to real competition ? only reason is FEAR
  • You can't compare boxing and MMA...

That's like saying; Football Vs Golf!

  • @lange1512 I think it's more like comparing football (American) with rugby. Why can't we all love the sweet science as well as mma? I love (and have practiced) both. Boxing has its clinching, and mma has pins against the cage, both of which I hate, because they slow the sport down big time. But I love the techniques and action of both sports, and both are highly applicable on the street. I love boxing. I love mma. Both are warrior sports. Peace.

  • There seems to be a misconception that MMA is more popular than boxing. MMA may be popular in America, but everywhere else it is a minority activity. As for the idea that it puts boxing in the shade either in terms of popularity or skill: I remember when people used to say the same things about WWF while choosing to ignore that it, too, was fixed.

  • Is that Jerome LeBanner with Don King at 4:00?????

  • "Put the best MMA fighter in a boxing ring, and he'll get his ass kicked."

  • my older brother does mma and im a boxer and i thnk his fighting style is alot more harder and agressive but i stil think that if theres people who want to do boxing go for it coz its more than just a sport its a way of life 4 me

  • @kraezd1 you know, that is actually a very good way to put it, but keep in mind you are kinda biased,I for instance practice BJJ and Kick Boxing, but not for fighting in a cage, I like MMA for the technique and conditioning it includes, and I like BJJ particularly for the mental sharpness it requires, I'd say I'm no fighter but it is also part of my way of life now.

  • wtf?

  • UFC is garbage, garbage, garbage. People die in boxing, its the toughest sport on earth.

  • @espnemail555 people only die in boxing due to medical conditions or fuckin idiot refs. Try get your arm snapped in half or get ground and pounded or have your knee snapped , then tell me what the toughest sport on earth is

  • @UpDaDubs34 People die in boxing because of constant blows to the face and body. A boxer goes threw more punishment in a single match than a ufc fighter would in 10 matches. 90% of the time consist of rolling on the floor than a submission...boring.

  • @espnemail555 try an MMA match man, try gettin ur arm snapped , gettin kneed into the face , try get elbow into your eyes , boxers only die in the ring due to stupid refs and the aftermath of there careers, mma is safer in the long run but its tougher than boxing because its total fighting, as compared to boxing is just one dimensional

  • @UpDaDubs34 I smile ever time I hear a ufc guy talk about dimensions like he's a physics teacher. There are TWO aspects of mma: standing up or rolling on the ground. that's it. Boxing is way tougher than mma, I've watched both. On a consistent basis mma usally ends up in submission, hardly anybody gets hurt. In boxing somebody is going away with a bruised up face.

  • @espnemail555 watch BJ Penn vs Joe Stevenson

  • @espnemail555 hardly anybody gets hurt in mma, u must be joking right? Watch any anderson silva, jon jones, jose aldo, dan henderson, shogun rua fight to name just a few, and you be the judge of whether somebody got hurt. Tons of wars, kos/tkos, subs, and decisions in mma, you havent watched anything if you havent seen such things. Also, try going back and forth between standing up and rolling on the ground, you wont feel your arms at the end of the fight.

  • @UpDaDubs34 mma is safer because fighters dont take nearly as many blows to the head as boxers, but thats considering boxers only do that exact thing all the time. In a real life scenario though, I'm sure you'd much rather take a punch to the head than a knee or kick.

  • @swimmerinstinct yes thats my point exactly!!

  • @espnemail555 Is it really tought that people die?

  • MOST STUPID, RETARDED, DUMBEST VIDEO IVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE ROFL

  • This fucking pricks are stupid, I can't believe my ears.

  • The real money is in boxing. At it's highest level boxers make much more money than MMA fighters period. Would wether make millions than thousands if I'm getting knocked in the head

  • @andrewr62 Thus, why the boxing industry is dying. Quote from Dana White "When i came to Los Vegas a couple of years ago, before UFC 80, there were 12 boxing gyms, and 2 MMA gyms. When i came back yesterday, there was 1 boxing gym, and 23 MMA gyms."

  • @zacktillery Boxing is not dying. It is certainly less popular in the US than it has been in the past. In South America, Europe, and even Africa it is thriving and the boxing industry as a whole world wide is healthy and prospering. Just a fact. MMA is in it's infancy and will grow. It has a long way to go to catch up to boxing. Boxing champions in any division rarely make less than 1 million per fight. No even close in MMA. Promoters don't put big money in a dying sport.

  • @andrewr62 They do when it's ALL they understand. The ONLY thing they know is boxing, and can't get over the fact that MMA is much, much more popular. I would do the same thing, if i was scared. Also, the only thing keeping boxing alive, right now, is pacman vs gayweather. They are both great fighters, but if pacquiao fights him and wins, huge upset. If mayweather wins, huge upset. Either way, people will leave the sport, and start watching MMA because it only evolves, not stays the same.

  • @zacktillery You obviously don't like boxing which is fine. But facts are facts. Boxing pay per view sales world wide have not decreased since the rise of MMA, There's room for both sports. The De La Hoya v Mayweather buy rate was almost double the biggest MMA ppv ever. Nobody is leaving the sport. There's lot's of young talent. The middleweight division in particular is loaded . Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Canelo Alvarez are expected to draw over 125,000 in Azteca stadium when they do fight.

  • @andrewr62 You've read me all wrong man! I LOVE boxing! Pernel witaker, oscar de la hoya! Cassius Clay? Some of my faovirte fighters of all time! I'm just saying, just like in life, things evolve. I believe that MMA is the evolution of fighting, and i've witnessed first hand the popularity it entails. With just around 15 years ish of popularized MMA, if it is, like you say, half as popular as boxing, that means it was, and is, the fastest growing sport in the world, bar none.

  • @zacktillery Haha you called Muhammad Ali Cassius clay...

  • uuuh the WBC is the disireable belt anyone in the game knows that!

  • Actually the reason I don't like MMA as much as boxing is because they love to get on the floor and start humping. If the referree could break them up after a few seconds, it would make MMA MUCH MUCH more fun and interesting. And these guys don't know what they are talking about.

  • @illestchicano Then why call it MMA at all? It just turns into "boxing with throws/takedowns involved" But NO POINT in doing them, because they'd just get stood up, thus, making it a boxing match, which requires alot less skill.

  • an MMA grandmaster would defeat a boxing champion easily^^

  • @SlowmotionDim By what?Tapping out like a pussy?A Boxer K.O's to win.Not hump eachother on the floor...

  • @lord1night1wish I would like to see you not tapping when someone are about to break your arm or leg. In boxing, whitch I by the way think also is a awesome sport and have traind my self, you hit someone in the face without thinking about what would happen if the fight went to the ground. MMA is the true self defence sport.

  • mma would be the best in the real world tho

  • @olympian2011 your statement is irrelavent, for we are talking about sports...."tho"

  • @olympian2011 depends on the fighter really, its the reason no one martial art is better than another. say for example a slimmer person is fighting a bulkier person. the bulkier person would obviously be able to over power the weaker on in a takedown however if the weaker one has a better reach and he's quicker a few quick jabs to obscure the bulkier persons vision then a hook to knock him out would work more in his favour than getting too "close and personal"

  • no mma is more fun to watch

  • ambos

    Boxing and

    ¡¡¡¡¡MMA!!!!

  • a boxer should be totally disadvantaged because mm is all styles, put an MMA fighter in the ring, the rules of boxing. This is the question! idiots ... a boxer

  • @bogdan19ify ok cool, now who is the better FIGHTER??..........not a boxer

  • @westjt17 a boxer is on half an MMA fighter put on warrior mma fight boxing rules, a boxer, for example Lucian Bute vs Randy Couture

  • i would say its the other way around mma is slow and boring and boxing takes little skill.

  • Boxing vs MMA in terms of the organisations, fanbase etc. Boxing will never be beaten. Never

  • @theboxer2014 lol dude you can still slam your opponent and you can still shoot in without scraping your knees mma is more than just shooting in for the take down its not totally the same as a street fight but it comes dam close

  • your a faggot mate

  • google top 10 martial arts, anytime, anyday and western boxing is always listed at 1st to 3rd. why would i pay for my kids to learn some art that MIGHT help them someday when I trained for 4 years in boxing, have a full boxing gym in the basement for less then $400. again alot of martial arts train fighters for this perfect opportunity to attack, but 'fighting' is not staged, boxing is a martial art and always ranks somewhere between 1st to 3rd inline of arts. defense, speed and then power

  • @dutchdettweiler yes when you talk individual martial arts but this is mixed which takes all aspects of each martial art that is actually effective you put a complete boxer in with a complete mixed martial artist in a street fight the boxer would be in really bad trouble cause of take downs submissions leg kicks etc... but i understand what your saying cause the majority of people that fight in the streets only throw punches and have no knolegde of fighting at all

  • @956crazyman19 MMA is nothing like a street fight. You cant shoot in on a sidewalk like you can on a sprung floor, you'll break your knees or get your face planted into the cement. Also if you are close enough to get a submission move, you are close enough to get bitten, butted or stabbed. Kickboxing or boxing is far superior because you are on your feet and maintain distance whilst being offensive and having the ability to run.

  • i rather watch people punching at each other instead of two people rolling around like homo sexuals.

  • @bwheeler1000 u r ignorant, no one ever "rolls" around, when it goes to the ground a guy fights for position, and u may think its homosexual, but lets see how long u think that when u get choked out or get an arm or leg broke

  • @bwheeler1000 I would rather watch a full body combative sport because it showcases more skill sets & fighting skill. The only people that say rolling around are typically ignorant of ground fighting & should stick to a less complicated sport.

  • @Immortalsyn83 are u a gay red neck or something ????

  • @bwheeler1000 I am from Orange County... The gays are way up north in Frisco & red necks are far on the other side of the country. I didn't know fighting had a gay stigma attached to it, what must go threw your head when you watch a male contact sport? ... Please don't tell me that was a rhetorical question.

  • @bwheeler1000

Step in the cage and stop talking crap.

  • @bwheeler1000 You're an idiot.

  • Seriously people need to respect both. Boxing takes alot of skill, but to say that its better than MMA is asinine. And vice versa. Thing is, in an Octagon or in the street MMA can dominate boxing. In a ring Boxing obviously will dominate MMA. Boxers train themselves with specific rules in mind, as do MMA fighters, only Boxers use one part of their bodies. MMA has several options, while boxing only has one.

One style versus an unlimited amount of styles, there's just no comparison.

  • @IsolationInstigation In the street I would put a boxer over an MMA fighter in all honesty. Boxers define perfect punching technique. It would only take one good punch to put either of them down. In which case, I'm going with the boxer, since a good defensive boxer will never get hit with a roundhouse kick.

  • @Dalittheuntouchable Who said anything about throwing roundhouse kicks. Boxers keep their hands up and stick their elbows pretty close to their rib cages. It'd really be kinda stupid to through a roundhouse at a boxer, unless he's too tired to keep his hands up. I'd keep it all in the spheres of the Muay Thai clinch, Wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. If you're gonna kick them, hit 'em where there's no protection, the legs.

  • @IsolationInstigation Only shitty boxers and heavyweights just stand there in a fight lol. Leg movement is a huge part of boxing, especially in the lower weight classes.

  • @IsolationInstigation throw a leg kick, then look at his leg and throw a high kick, i guarantee the boxer will drop his hands bc its not fun getting kicked very hard

  • @Dalittheuntouchable

I have seen boxers step into the gym talking ALOT of crap. These are guys with pretty good records but when they get in that ring with a well rounded mma fighter they are not talking anymore...they are tapping out or just knocked out. Just wondering....Have you ever been in a real street fight "one on one"?

  • @Heseesu1 That's the thing, a boxer cannot compete with MMA rules. In the same way, an MMA fighter is pretty worthless in the ring.

Yes, I have been in scuffles. I myself am only a welterweight and not professional, so I'm not going to say I put guys down with one punch, but I've only once ever been taken to the ground (which I promptly got right off of since I can't wrestle worth a damn).

  • @Dalittheuntouchable

I'm not trying to be disrespectful but I dont understand your thinking. Yes a boxer is a fighter but they are limited to only throwing punches. An MMA fighter can stand up and they not only throw punches but they can also throw kicks, elbows, forearms, take the fight to the ground and thats when it really gets bad for the boxer because they have no defense.

  • @Heseesu1 To say a boxer has no defense is a bit wrong. Now, from about 95% of my experience watching MMA, fighters aren't particularly well trained in striking. The majority are only ground fighters. In a completely open situation, it wouldn't get that far in my honest opinion. Bareknuckle a boxer wouldn't need more than a couple jabs to close your eyes completely.

  • @Dalittheuntouchable

If 95% of your experience is watching then how can you come to the conclusion that an MMA fighter is not well trained in striking? Look up this fight "Mahoef vs Cyborg" then tell me more about your experience.

  • @Dalittheuntouchable The point of MMA is to be a well rounded fighter, being able to defend anywhere a fight ends up going. There are many great strikers in MMA such as Anderson Silva, Jones, Edgar, Velanzquez, Overeem (former K-1 champion,) Machida, Cung Le (who has broke arms with his kicks) ect. Boxing gloves only reduce cuts & bruising... All of a boxers offense is all on their two feet so once you tie up a clench or shoot a takedown their offense is nullified. I like both sports too!

  • Remember guys boxing is a big part of MMA and always will be, but the closest you will come to a real fight is in MMA, boxing on its own is not enough. now MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world, of any sport, so dont any body make bad comments about boxing because there is a place in MMA for it and always will be because you need a close boxing range game, a longer kicking distace range and a grapple game!!!

  • @grownman455 in a boxing RING boxers would kill brock and rampage. Brock is a wrestler and while rampage may be a good puncher in mma that doesnt mean he would in boxing.

  • You boxing fans get your greatest boxer to stand in the ring with Brock Lesnar and I promise you if that boxer don't land his punches his career will be short haha. I will even put up Rampage against your best boxer. Forever one punch you throw you have kicks and punches and choke holds arm bars coming at you.. I will take UFC over a Boxer anyday. UFC reminds me of a real life Mortal Kombat haha .

  • Well a boxer that is not trained in MMA faces a MMA fighter and the boxer doesn't land his punches .. In reality what do you think is going to happen to that boxer? You can't land a punch if the MMA fighter breaks your arm in two can you? haha Landing punches even for the greatest fighter is not like some Action movie its hard unless you sucker punching somebody or the person just can't fight at all.

  • Boxing slow abd boring what about about 80% of mma fights where the two blokes roll around on the floor

  • @pingu706 the "roll around on the floor" aspect is at least 3x more complicated than boxing. I know you'd disagree, but just stating my opinion.

  • taekwondo and boxing are the best combantion

  • When he said "People MIGHT know Manny Pacquaio" I immediately looked at date for upload.

  • Geez, this a "show"? ARGH!!!

  • Two great sports, a fan of one can still enjoy the other and there's no reason a fighter from one of the styles can't enjoy a workout session from the other once in a while to keep his training fresh.

  • @Mrjustinqqq its because lots of BJJ guys have poor takedowns. Wrestlers on the other hand, will get the fight down much of the time. Of course, fighters > styles, but you cant compete at the high levels of MMA without cross training anymore.

  • boxing is my favorite individual style, but saying "boxing vs mma" just doesn't make sense.

boxing can easily be a part of mma, but mma isn't part of boxing.

now in terms of what is more fun to watch, thats tough. i say boxing

  • @deadlycheezcake its like saying a square can be a rectangle but a rectangle cannot be a square. (i think) LOL i would have to say mma for me cause lots more action, huge slamming, much more aggresiveness.

  • @deadlycheezcake boxing for sure. MMA, while a sport, is a bit more about practical fighting (it's still not totally practical though, lol)

  • @deadlycheezcake what does this have to do with anything??? and whats more fun to watch is purely personal preference....i happen to like both, but mma guys get kicked in the face and picked up and slammed and get choked out....i think mma is more fun because u dont have to watch only punching for an entire fight

  • @westjt17 i know its opinion, thats why i said "i say boxing"

i was merely speaking for myself

  • @deadlycheezcake The only time boxing is exciting is when you have 2 brawlers fighting and defensive vs defensive is boring as hell..I'd rather watch fencing. Since humans are Barbaric, they want barbaric sports. The Romans enjoyed their arenas. Boxing is a lazy sport. Too lazy to stretch those leg muscles to use them as combat human weapons. Boxing alone is useless in a real street fights. They may get a punch or two but find themselves on the ground with a broken arm, foot, or choked out.

  • @tkathryyn humans are barbaric? lol speak for yourself. idk about you but im pretty far from barbaric.

besides, if you think boxers are lazy then you're just a dumbass. and it's quite the opposite, boxing is good for street fights. no one wrestles in street fights, everyone just stands toe to toe. i mean mma is good too, they're both good, but my point is if your trained in a combat sport chances are you'll beat some random thug who isn't.

  • @deadlycheezcake everyone goes toe to toe in the street? lol not even close

  • @dromezz1993 where i live anyways, people call me a pussy when i take them down and beat the shit out of them on the floor.

like they dont realize i just kicked their ass. when i get beat in a fight i dont bitch about it

  • @deadlycheezcake dude you are a pussy get some balls and fight toe to toe fuckhead! Beating people on the floor is shit like all these suckerpunchers, shut up! i laugh at people like you "yeah man im the king i just beat a person with my 5 pussyfriends wo helped me kicking the fuckhead on the floor"

  • @Bounzer88 dude i fight my own fights. and i don't sucker punch. if i get someone on the floor in the first place then it's not cheap, but if you read ALL my comments i said that whenever i don't take down anymore because people bitch about it and call me a pussy. same way how you're bitching.

what makes you think i get 5 people to help me fight? you're just an internet shit talker

  • @deadlycheezcake I fought a grappler once, I stuck my key in his eye after I sucker punched him. Then after he was grabbing his eye three of my friends ran up and we kicked on him. So my friend. My point is don't explain yourself to anyone.

  • @killerrey i know i don't but i at least try to fight with honor.

sometimes, the guy you're fighting doesn't deserve to not be fought dirty though.

  • @deadlycheezcake thanks you too, because i see nothing that letters and numbers :D

  • @Bounzer88 If you dont want to be taking down learn how to fight. I dont give a fuck who you are or what combat sport you compete in if you don't know bjj then i will choke you out. I also know Boxing and Muay Thai so I could take the fight were ever I want stand up or ground. I know Pacquiao will out box me but I'll choke him out in a street fight easy. So go ahead and say shit like Pacquiao will kill me and I have no chance. Deep down inside I know the truth Im a real fighter

  • @deadlycheezcake but your chances are bigger if you have trained MMA. And a MMA fighter would win over a boxer 9 out of 10 times.

  • @zero77p yeah i agree

  • @tkathryyn when was the last time u even watched a boxing match. MMA fans claim to know so much but in reality 90% of MMA fans dont know anything about the sport they claim to be a fan of

  • @TheCrimsondragoon no what? lmfao.

  • mma sucks.

  • couple of bitch's

  • good mma fighter has a range of fighting styles that he is GOOD at. good fighter in one martial arts has one fighting style that he is EXTREMELY GOOD AT. so depending on the actual fighter it could just even out. its more about the actual fighter not as much about the martial arts

  • MMA: the bastard son of almost every sport on earth hell ya every1 got a piece from mmas mom vagina and sadly got a huge CoD like fan base I cant think of anything that I can hate more than that

  • just because they know boxing doesnt mena they know a basic take down like a rugby tackle or a basic kick like a leg kick they still know how to headbutt and use knees they dont just forgot these things

  • Talking about mma hitting mainstream but mma has always been around.

  • MMA will always win against boxing.

better to learn many forms of discipline of martial arts than to just learn punching

  • Boxing you got to have a certain skill, boxing teaches you how to punch and block which is offense and defense, Skill beats mma technique imo.

  • A boxer will lose to an MMA practitioner for the simple fact that a boxer only has one style for fighting (and a limited one at that; all punches) while an MMA practitioner has learned many styles and techniques to fight an opponent. Common sense.

  • @Ambibbly

I wouldn't say that's exclusive to boxing, though. Pair up an MMA practitioner against a Muay Thai practitioner or a BJJ practitioner and the MMA practitioner will probably will because he'll have experience in areas where his opponents have little.

  • @Ragedhard

    Probably win*

  • @Ragedhard Exactly. It is a person who knows one style vs. another person who has trained in multiple styles. If a Muay Thai practitioner goes up against a Muay Thai practitioner that also knows Jujitsu and Wrestling, the Muay Thai-only fighter is most likely going to lose.

  • are we going to compare golf and baseball next

  • he misses the point to start off..its said that mma is unskilled that is the main objection..jack of all trades or at least 2 or 3 Boxing is more violent in terms of damage and toughness

  • ehh i think if a boxer has a martial arts guy in a corner he's kind'a fucked becouse he cant use his Big impresive moves but in the open it just comes down to skill.

  • @ht448 you know boxing is a martial art right. but what if a boxer gets say a wrestler or a bjj guy in a corner? what happens then?

  • remeber, pugilism in general especial;y with todays rules doesnt have much defense to take downs. aside from deft footwork.

  • MMA fans say boxing is boring, and they say MMA is better because they hav on the ground fighting experience, but alot of MMA fans also say on the ground fighting is the boring part of MMA fights so why don't they jus watch kick boxing?

  • @MyCall27 Well the guys who say that the ground game is boring porbably dont know shit about the sport and are just watching to see someone get KOed or finished. But I there are many guys who LOVE the ground game because they can see/understand whats happening, such as if a guy is working for a sumbission or transition and alot of times it can get really competitive unless one of thems a grinder them it gets boring

  • The top guys that in mma that are good strikers are only able to strike well because they have a wrestling, sambo, out bjj background to defend takedowns. Without that their striking would be ineffective. Boxing is only one aspect of fighting. I think boxers could do well if they took the time to learn some bjj.

  • funny how some of the top guys in mma are also very good boxers ex: Bj Penn, GSP, Arlovski, Noguiera, Diaz , Mirko Cro Cop and the list goes on :)

  • eh... ok ok did any of you guys commenting about how this and that is better than this and that... did you guys even watch the video?

  • @RivalBoxer something like a double leg takedown. can't be ''dodged''. i agree that they would do good vs strikers. a boxer with ground game is a dominant force. just look at JDS. imagine if we sawa mike tyson with that takedown defence and ground game.

  • The people in these comments knowledge of MMA is atrocious. You people have zero fucking clue what you're talking about. It's really embarrassing.

  • @RivalBoxer i agree... but no boxer would land a shot at randy since he was going for the ancle. i agree with the wwe shit

  • @RivalBoxer james toney vs randy couture. skilled boxer vs skilled mma fighter. toney got put on his ass and was forced to tap.

  • @MMAstokke Ray Mercer vs. Tim Slyvia... Skilled MMA former CHAMPION! against Fat 50 year old!!! boxer who had 1 great fight in his career (20 years ago)... Not sure what the outcome was tho... remind me?

Next time i see a great MMA fighter step into boxing and beat a top 50 boxer... I guess then the striking in MMA will get some respect!!!

  • @Gooseman2k2 and mercers striking should be respected ? he got his fucking ass beat up by kimbo ! in striking and ground game ! i agree that real punchers are what we need in mma. but that fat mercer guy ko'ed sylvia. but then again. sylvia lost to a guy who didn't even make his first fight on TUF. i'm talking about Abe Wagner. sylvia did exactly what you shouldn't do with a boxer. he stood there wanting to trade blows with him.

  • @MMAstokke Yea... a former MMA champion loses in MMA to a guy with 1 Exhibition MMA fight... Do you really think a 3 years ago former boxing champion is gonna lose to fat 50 year old MMArtist? not in a million years!

It is a well known fact that the striking level in MMA is nearly none existant except at the highest levels! And even then they wouldent be able to compete in their own sports very successfully... with few exceptions!

  • @Gooseman2k2 oooo he beat tim sylvia who got manhandled standing up by randy couture for 25 mins

  • @RivalBoxer Well maybe, but the mma fighter would still win in most cases imo

  • @RivalBoxer Well u could put it that way, but when i say mma beats boxing i mean that if u were to take a boxer vs a mma fighter, i think that is what most the people thinks of when comparing it.

  • fuck boston

  • Boxing is very limited, not taking advantage of grappling or kicking is just stupid. There are too many rules associated with professonal boxing, its too formal to be compared to MMA.

  • Mma is more about the entertainment of watching and not real life skills like boxing . U bring a mma fighter u think he have any chance of beating a heavyweight boxer like Tyson ? Chances are slim but even if u can take a couple of punches from the heavyweight boxer what makes u thin that submission can help u ? The closer u are the closer to a knock out I will be

  • @BlizzardGamification look what happened to james toney...

  • @BlizzardGamification The point that makes you wrong is you think an MMA fighter will ACTUALLY try to stand with someone who is a champion boxer. :) MMA fighters are not stupid, and would immediately take him down, when he's down, utilize side control/mount/back control. Immediate choke, break, or hit to tap out.

  • @BlizzardGamification If he is using Muay Thai, kickboxing, and Taekwondo and has went to a real martial arts school yes yes he will. Because he will not only know how to use Tysons wight against him he will be able to break his arm. He will also be able to take the punches he throws to. Most people who get into MMA are getting into if for tournaments. If you take the other person the guy who is not worried about torunaments then no a guy like Tyson would be nothing to them.

  • @BlizzardGamification A good exmplain throw out the rules. A true martial arts school does not have rules because they are teaching you how to take what you know and be able to kill someone. Take Phillip Rhee yes yes he was in movies. But he went out of his way to learn Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do, Wing Chun, and boxing. Tyson throws a punch Phillip Rhee grabs his arm what do you think he is going to do with it? That's right he will be breaking it.

  • MMA is not perfect, but a boxer isn't taught any kicks, nor are they taught to defend against kicks either. They also do not know how use grappling moves on the ground. A UFC fighter would kick the shit out of a boxer imo

  • @Sora2557 Take a UFC fighter against a real MMA fighter and half of them would lose. I would ask how manof them hold a black belt in the said styles they use and are not just going to the train gyms for UFC fighters. True MMA fighters learn up to three standing a long with a number of ground moves. UFC is not real MMA. IN fact most things like it are not reall MMA. You want real MMA go out and take the time to earn a black belt in Muay Thai, Wing Chun, etc.

  • @Epica124 I know, I actually do take Muay Thai. The thing is, I'm talking about televised MMA vs. televised boxing. Yeah, a real MMA fighter would kick the shit out of a UFC Fighter because UFC is rigged. But if somebody like Tito Ortiz fought Mike Tyson, I think Ortiz would probably fuck him up

  • Honestly mma beats boxing in the street, as well as kickboxing and mma matches. mma fighters wil most likely lose in a pro or amateur boxing match. I think what pepole lean toward is how boxers have mastered the 'sweet science' and boxers are more fluent and precise in their striking. Even if it is 1 dimension it is a dimension they train to perfect. I love watching mma but almost all mma fighters are students of many diffrent arts and masters of none.

  • @judontknow69 There are a lot of people who are MMA and are masters of there arts. You just don't see them in place like UFC because the black belt mean a hell of a lot more then the belt you get in UFC. A true master in Mauy Thai, Tae Kwon Do, and BJJ, and any othe froum would pwan any UFC fighter and boxer. Don't mix up UFC fighters with a person who has taken the time to learn and master the different style and are taking the true meaning of the Bruce Lee philosophy.

  • @Epica124 I read some of your comments and i think you sound rather competent. But the statement u place that ufc fighters would lose to mma fighters is just down right stupid... UFC is the ULTIMATE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP, this is where the best mma fighters in the world compete to be the best. there is no difference between a mma fighter and a ufc fighter, hell, there is no such thing called a ufc fighter, its just a mma fighter who fights in the ufc ;)

  • @Epica124 jeet kune do 101 my friend, cant agree with you more.

  • Boxing fans tend to be more ethnic. While mma fans tend to look like skinheads with tattoos

  • @rudge1982 funny because. (H) Cain Velasquez- Mexican American. (LH) Jon Jones- Black/African American. (M) Anderson Silva- Brazilian. (W) Georges St-Pierre - Canadian. (L) Frankie Edgar- Italian American (F) Jose Aldo- Brazilian. (B) Dominick Cruz- Mexican American.... Not a single WASP champ and there is ALOT of 'ethnic' fighters in the ufc as well as mma.

  • @nevets7921 own'd!! lol

  • @rudge1982 Haha, Ikr.. Two rednecks cuddling on the ground

  • @rudge1982 doesnt manny paq have tattoo so does cotto so does alot of boxers. antonio wears mma clothing affliction so does cotto and cotto does grappling to help his stamina with kurt pelligrino and he helps out mma fighters. there are more whites in boxing thsn mma

  • These comparisons are idiotic. Their different sports neither fighter would last in the others sport. Boxing is an art it's beautiful but in the end it's dying. Once Pac Man is gone all the draw will be gone. MMA is on the rise and a wonderful sport in and of itself. Most kids nowadays who want to fight will be going to learn BJJ or go to an MMA gym as opposed to a boxing gym. It can't be denied Pac gets more buys in an event than a single MMA event, but in a year total boxing can't stand up to

  • @TheLorie71 Agreed.

  • @TheLorie71 an art? so your saying the science of brazilian jujitsu submissions isnt an art? or the art of muay tai or KARATE? arent arts? if so then you have no business talking about anything about fighting. You boxing fans think boxing is the ultimate fighting style in the world and that nothing can beat it. but thats all it is, a fighting style and every fighting style has its weaknesses. a world boxing champ vs. a division 1 ncaa national champ, who wins? the wrestler.

  • boxing is a sport not a martial art

  • boxing is a sport not a martial art

  • MMA = No Brain, No skills.. Boxning = Daily training, Skills.

  • @KingMosee haha you are more stupid than a retarded ant

  • @micmicmic09 Well.. if you look at it more carefully you'll see that MMA only jumps on the target.. "dosent really matter how" comparing to boxing.. while fighting your reading your opponent..now explain why im a "retarded ant" kid..

  • @KingMosee whatever man..mma=no brain no skills? cmon..boxing is 4 sports only..not for reality fights..besides fighting always reads opponents nxt step. not only boxing..im not saying mma only but all styles.. duh

  • @micmicmic09 Depends if you put your heart into the sport or not, really dosent matter what sport or where you fight.

And dont come up with the comment "MMA Owns Boxning" maybe you've got right there but if you we're able to chose to start in one of those two what would you pick?

Boxning ofc, cuz it dosent matter how you get knocked out, you get knocked out while your standing instead in MMA when your laying down half dead after a kick or punch to the nose :S

  • @KingMosee in your opinion.. ;D

  • boxers dosent train on stoping/takeing a tackel they dont train to stop or block the tackel so if he dose get tackled the mma would win by using his ground attcks

  • a mma fighter is trained to finish a fight in every position.if he is on the ground or in the clinch with the boxer he'll probably beat him.however a boxer trains his eight punches consistently and that's the danger! he is fast as hell with his fists and he'll have a stong punch.but i also think that mma beats boxing.the mma fighter is also trained to use his legs and ellbows which is an advantage.but once the boxer starts throwing his punches it is a real danger for the mma fighter.

  • "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."
