  • who is that music?

  • first song....

  • @tetaslokasbigboy. Cold Irons Bound. But this is the movie version because the Bob Dylan doesn't sound like this at all.

  • "How long is THIS gonna take?"

I love how well she picked up all his mannerisms! :3

  • The music at the beginning of the video is a part of a song or is a theme composed for the movie??

  • what is the song playing at the end of this video? anyone know? i know it's dylan, obviously, but what's it called?

  • Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands. One of Dylan's best.

  • the sun is not yellow is chicken.

  • In that last look you can just see a little Galadriel shining through.

  • Tombstone Blues.

  • Because you not very intelligent. Not everyone can be.

  • wow i thought she was awesome before this now i'm blown away really good!

  • Cate Blanchett is phenomenal ! She is the best actress of her generation ! I love her. In the end I like her enigmatic smile ! Monalisa !

  • But she had the highway blues

  • David Cross looks so much like Ginsberg.

  • It gives me chills every time I see the girl light herself on fire.

  • the part under the cross with Guinnsburg...That's Dylan singing, not Cate.

That shows how well she nailed his voice in the dialog.

    She's really believable.

  • its all cate. isnt she amazing

  • at about 0:55 is that dylan on the wall? or cate? i cant tell.

  • Is Cate...

  • it's called "trouble in mind" it's b-side that wasn't used on an album...

  • do you know where i might be able to get this song

I tried looking in iTunes but tey dont have it

  • you're going to have to illegally download it. that's what i had to do. it took awhile to find it. it was suppose to go on an album, but Dylan changed his mind at the last minute.....

  • everybody knows im not a folk singer

  • btw why don;t you do your early stuff? is hilarious

  • cate is fantastic in this movie. anyone know which song is played when they are by the jesus thing?

  • Trouble In Mind, from the B-side of Slow Train Coming.

  • thanks man!

  • oooohhoho I love that monologue at the end so much!

  • what's the song at 2:30 please ?

  • cold irons bound

  • it's called "cold irons bound"

  • Cate deserved an Oscar for her performance.

  • can someone please tell me the title of the song that is playing at 5:00?

  • sad eyed lady of the lowlands

    from blonde on blonde

  • thank you :)

  • What difference does it makes if it's a man or a woman?

  • perfect

  • Comment removed

  • sorry, Could someone tell me how is called the song in the second part of the video, from 5.00 until the end?

  • it's dylan's "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands"

  • thank you very much.....i haven't see it on my Blonde on Blonde cd...

  • Cate was ROBBED at the Oscars.

  • So. true

  • Is he supposed to be talking to bobby neuwirth at the beginning?

  • OMG! the way she says "right" at 5:57/5:58 sounds EXACTLY like Bob Dylan! thats so awesome! i love this movie!

  • She did the best job as Bob. Better than anyone else did.

  • Comment removed

  • "And i'm the asshole because Im the only one with any balls."-words of wisedom! long live Dylan, what an artist.

  • Especially since the only Dylan played by a woman got to say it. She is amazing.

    So is he.

  • ps. that last little mysterious smile at the very end is brilliant.

  • I know!!! that "small-barely-noticeable-smile" is brilliant!! Miss Blanchett is phenomenal here <3

  • @TheCrazyPeach So true! But I think it's funny, "I'm the only one with any balls!". But she doesn't even have any..

  • "son, you better get down off of that thing, you're liable to get yourself killed!"

this has got to be one of my favourite films and cate blanchett is absolutely incredible.

  • Cate was great in this film! I love 3:30! lol! "Why don't you do your early stuff!" lol! :D

  • "I'm the only one with any balls!"

  • all four of the actors were great in this film

  • i love this movie!

and cate should've won an oscar for this role!

  • Cate rules. I'm glad Weinstein put this on youtube, cudo's to them for that.

Blanchett is so inspirational as Dylan. I can come back and watch this over and over.

  • luv this film and it didnt confuse me at all!

all the portrayals done by the actors are brilliant espiecially cate blanchett and heath ledger

  • All the...trippy shit in the film. I love it. Totally gear.

And Cate captures Bob's motions well. This is a pretty groovy movie if I must say so myself :)

  • Joanie Mitchel is the female version of Dylan. Check out any of her interviews.

  • Naw Joni wrote about politics but she wasn't as media aware. I love dylan but he was much more snide

  • 3;46 cate's skin looks like porcelain

  • i remember Dylan saying in an interview that the magic that let him sing and song write was gone and although he can't do any of that anymore he can finally do the things we all want truthfully like love and family

  • You're right he also says the same it in his book Chronicles!

  • Cate Blanchett & Heath Ledger are brilliant, eh?

  • yeah! they did so good in the movie ^^

  • has he commented any on this particular film?

  • out of all the bio's and films about him, this is the only film version he gave the thumbs up to

  • Hmm...strange, a sexy Bob Dylan?! J/K lmao, nice movie though i still prefer to read about Bob than watch about him unless its real footage. Robert Zimmerman has been my idol since i was like 6 and i used to where the shades everyday. Those shades helped me understand who i am lol

  • ok..so what in ur opinion is the most accurate book on dylan?

  • Chronicles, Volume 1; opened my eyes to the real world where thinking about nothing is all ill ever need to do to live fully. And time will move just as fast as it seems slow. Like my life's destiny is only to question the answers that have been put into my brain

  • Love the surrealism added to the movie. Makes the movie bearable, otherwise it's a recitation of events most of us know by heart.

  • One of the best performances i´ve ever seen. Cate Blanchett, really really phenomenal. The whole movie is now one of my favorites. Loved it.

  • Interesting that Factory Girl featuring Edie and Bob Dylan was shooting at the same time as this movie also having an Edie and Bob Dylan thread.

  • The song is "Cold Irons Bound". What I want to know is what does Dylan/Blanchett say at the end of the Jesus sequence. It sounds a bit like "make my thy mark" at the end, but I can't quite hear the beginning of the quote/statement. And does anyone know where it's from?

  • he's ready to immortalize himself

if you notice his getup, youll see it's the same coat from the cover of Blonde on Blonde

    maybe that's his masterpiece?

    i think it is..

  • whats that song at the beginning?

  • I love Cate's look at the very end.......gave me shivers.

    She. Is. Phenomenal.

  • are most of her lines direct Dylan quotes?

  • I just can't get over how good this movie is.

  • Death to all those who whimper and cry.

    whoo i love that song

the suns not yellow its chicken

i want to see the wole film

  • "Chicks gotta shit on something."

    -Brilliant

    : )

  • WOW

    LOVE THIS FILM

  • what song starts at 2:54?

  • I think it's called "Cold Iron Bound"

    I could be wrong though

  • no i found it and it's called "trouble in mind" but cold irons bound is on there when they get in the car...

  • whos that dude he was arguing with at the start meant to be?

  • Bob Neuerth

  • i just noticed kate blanchett has rly nice hands lol

  • I know, right? it's like all this haircut, voice and overall gestuelle but she has chicks hands. what's does that mean?! the director kept it for something, for sure... I don't get it

  • Well actually Bob did tend to keep his fingernails sort of long, maybe for finger picking/strumming the guitar. But I suppose that could be a connection?

  • makes sense! at first I thought it was sort of a game the director played, you know, to keep some feminity about Cate... chances are I was looking too far :P

  • i cant even watch this!

    ha ha

  • Does anyone know what song is playing during his meltdown in the projection room and the song it leads into at 2:05? Can't find it anywhere..

  • the remade and original Cold Irons Bound

  • post the whole movie please please please!

  • what song starts at 03:33?

  • Could anybody give the name of the speech that said "Death to all those who would whimper and cry." I could immediately that it was from "Tombstone Blues", but I wanted to see who said it or if it was simply made for the film.

  • The clip of LBJ saying that was doctored. He never gave a speech with those words in them. The film gives a visual representation of the "commander in chief".

  • LBJ is saying lyrics from Tombstone Blues

  • I have a feeling Cate's gonna be nominated for every damn role she plays. She's freakin' invincible.

  • This is filmmaking of the gods.

  • Cate Blanchett is amazing.

  • whats song is it in the end?

  • Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands. (Last track on Blonde on Blonde)

  • Cate Blanchett,you are awesome.

  • wow, the ending was moving and intense.

    thanks for posting this!

  • Oh wait I apologize, I missed part 2. Disregard that last thought.

  • The only part that was missing from this group of five vids was the scene where he's first in England and is being interviewed, fooling around with the Beatles, etc.

But, thank you so much for the rest of it. This movie was phenomenal.

  • Man That Mona Lisa Smile At Teh End Coupled With That AMAZING Monologue... Wow Waht A Movie. Though I Wish The Other 5 Dylans Had Bigger Parts In The Movie.

  • Those last lines are so moving. If Cate Blanchett doesn't win,I might cry.

  • omg me too!!!

  • Fuck it. I cried.

Thanks soooooo much for posting these scenes !!!!

  • This didn't do to good in the box office because it wasn't released in all cinemas in the UK. But this film is so under-rated it is definetly the best film of the year. But it is arty which is why the academy didn't nominate it for best picture. Todd Haynes directed this brilliantly and cate blanchett is unbelievable

  • that look at the end......

  • gives me goosebumps

  • whats that one song that starts while he is on the couch?

  • I really have to see this (how did this bomb?). Is this the final scene of the film?

  • no it's not the final scene

  • other than lack of proper adverts?
