  • "I'm gonna be tweeting stuff about this-" me: "TWITTER!!!!" *goes to look up his page*

    LOVE YOU.

  • I feel like hes singing when he talks to me! :)

  • love your music..

  • And this is relevant to GLBT teens how, exactly? This project isn't about bullying, it's about helping LGBT teens get through tough times, which are as likely to be caused by social pressure as by bullying. And you don't even have the decency to use the words "gay" or "lesbian" in your video. What kind of message does this send to LGBT youth?

  • This is awesome! Thanks for doing this Brendan! I wish I'd had somebody say something like this to me when I was in high school. This is a great thing you've done, and I'd just like to tell you that I appreciate it. Oh, and BTW, I love your music! Brendan James, FTW!

  • my boy brendan james :D he said it!

  • I went to the website because of what you said. It sounded really inspiring. But then I found out that the website is for homosexuals that are bullied in highschool.

Too bad. Not that they do not need support which they do, but I would have loved a more neutral project with a broader purpose.

  • @OperaNotes you're kidding, right?

  • @barbwirerope Like I said, it is good there is a support group for LGBTs in highschool, but I thought it was for a wider cause.

When I was in highschool I had trouble fitting in and not because of my sexual orientation but because of my ideas, dreams and desires. I was a poet in black. I was hoping the project was about all kids not just one minority. Because believe it or not, the bullies and populars are a bit lost and confused as well.

  • @OperaNotes bullying is bullying, onotes. many of the kids being bullied are thought of as GAY, and not. it's rare that a kid will kill themselves for being a misunderstood poet in black. it's not so rare for a gay kid. i think any bridge to open the discussion about bullying is good thing. regardless whether that bridge be straight or gay themed. i just don't get your 'too bad' comment. having this discussion at all is good for everyone. hatred for one group, bleeds into another.

  • @barbwirerope Of course you are right. Perhaps my choice of words made my opinion unclear. What I meant with "Too bad" was that I simply do not like to categorize or label people. Like "the gays". I just feel like sexual orientation is not a necessary label. It does not effect someone's skills or intelligence. Things like that simply should not matter and people should be equal in that matter.

Groups like this make it a label. Of course, it has a lot of good in it as well, but here's my view.

  • @OperaNotes although, i understand what you're saying, unfortunately bullying exists because people can't see beyond 'labeling' people. it's because of the 'labels' that people bully at all. i agree with you--i wish we lived in a label-free world also, but we don't. when we do...a group like this won't be needed anymore. here's hoping that day comes in my lifetime!

  • @barbwirerope Yea, me too. If only we could come up with a truly effective and fast way to make it work... We shall see. :)

  • You are amazing, Brendan.

  • You're fantastic.
