I am from Lahore, some miles away from the border and have sources in Army and Rangers. Let me tell you what happened. Believe it or not, Indian side wants to get rid of these power gestures - they got many of their soldiers hurt and are not interested to do so. There's been a time when on Indian request Pakistan eased out power gestures of the ceremony but then again got a heat for some reasons. India had to follow. (Read second scrap)
