Here's a gimme! VISTA IS SHIT AND SUCKS. I've had a compaq computer and experienced vista it was hell. PROBLEMS were that the computer resetted itself, shut down by itself and OMG i hated vista so so much. My advice and for all utubers who have vista, GET RID OF IT. IT IS A COMPLETE GARBAGE AND I THINK WINDOWS SEVEN IS A MUCH BETTER operating system Vista F**** you. Microsoft, thank you for WINDOWS 7 and XP. Stay away from vista and take either Windows 7 or Windows XP.

I have never had problems like that with Vista. Not that I'm complaining. It's:

slow

a RAM hog

useless with third-party apps

XP was Microsoft's zenith. Vista is it's downfall.

I installed XP on an old desktop of mine a while ago. It worked fine. No RAM problems, nothing. The simplest apps on Vista take up so much ram. I don't know what my old one had, but I never had a ram overload just from opening to many apps!

Everything worked fine on XP!

Have you seen all three Vista sucks videos of mine? I have 3.. This is just one of them. Vista sucks because of many reasons... But I have to put up with it everyday because the programs that I need are only made for windows... But as soon as these programs are mac compatible... Im fucking switching...

PS: your monitor looks like something that Fred Flintstone used, notice your using 'olde' Office, and the question was asked what video card/driver are you running, not a good one by the looks of your picture. OK appreciate not everyone can have all the best hardware/software, if not then stay away from Vista as it will suck for you. If you have a top end PC then Vista is cool. I waited until I bought new PC then bought Vista, and wow how cool it is, using Vista & driver install is a breeze.

What a load of crock ! If you have a top end PC Vista rocks 100%, its far better than XP. Most of the complainers about Vista are those with crap hardware/software. Like all technology, it's dependant on the user to have newer hardware, dual quad processors, 4GB Ram, and no end of life software. I have it installed here and after all Windows OS to date Vista has to be the best that Microsoft has released, it's so easy to forget how bad Windows 98 was, and not appreciate how cool Vista really is.

Trust me when I say the drivers can no longer be found on its company website. The drivers only exist on the disc that I have. And sadly Vista never let me install the software needed to run the video card. It doesn't matter anymore anyway because I got rid of that PC.

Linux is an awesome OS. As for my software it tells me that I must be in the administrative account in order to install any of the programs. I am logged into the Admin account and yet it fails to see that. There is also the "Windows will not allow this operation." and it only displays an OK button. Its completely legit copies too.

At this point I really am considering selling my PC and getting a mac. I don't have Vista Basic. Its Vista Home. And I don't feel like waiting to pay another 3 grand on Vista compatible versions of the software that I already own. At least when I get a mac 60 percent of the software that I own will work on it rather than the 20 percent right now. If you were in business and were in this position then what would you do? Go back to XP or get a mac? (Trick question. XP is no longer on shelves.)

ok ok, calm down, now did u have all to latest drivers for ur hardware? did u turn on automatic updates? or are u scare to turn it on because u pirated a copy of vista, if u didnt, turn it on, now go to microsoft web site, and download sp1 ok? and if u check for the hardware drivers make sure that it's for vista 32 bit sp1. now install the game again. if it doesn't work reply here and i'll try to help u again.

It didn't do anything when I hit that reset button. This has happened to me twice now and there is a new screen of death. The White screen of death my friend. Happened to me the first time I had put the machine to "Sleep" and turned it back on. When the screen had lit up I had a white screen with no text. And it just sat there. I had to boot it up in safe mode just to get the Scandisk to run.

It was a cold boot by the way. I have also experienced a "Vista Lock-out." when I had put in my Audio Slave CD. Pissed me off to no extent when I couldn't even get the computer to shut down. I had to unplug the machine. (Thats right the power button turn off wasn't responding either!) and I also had to do a restore when I booted it up again.

Which brings me to my next problem. ALL of my old programs don't work with vista so I have to wait for Pinnacle to make a new dazzle software before I can get my capture card to work again. Fruity Loops, the 700 dollar program, won't install. My Star Craft game tells me that "I must be an administrator in order to install this program" when I'm logged into the administrative account. All I can do is Cancel the operation. Seriously I am going to Ubutnu Linnux again. Screw this "Vista" shit.
