the reason that the early trio stuff is so dark is the guys were trying so hard in the early days to be noticed but never really got the credit and you can tell but its hard to have an edge when you can have 6 months in a studio and as much tech support as there want. but i personaly feel that with age the band are writing better songs A3T

I'm not a big fan of this song...but I agree with sashi5emi; their sound is a result of attempts at commercial success, which is well and fine. I, too, miss the days of Cringe and Getting Over You, but they're trying something new.

This'll be less produced than Crimson, thank goodness, but I think it'll take them one more album to hit it on the head. I'm still going to buy and listen to this album like all hell.
