The smell occurs when Air comes into contact with blood. So to say that there's no smell is misinformation, blood certainly smells, that in combo with body order=one huge dog attractant! And often the person who smells don't even realize they smell!....What about the ladies who get enormous blood clots? These pads seem as if they'd make you feel a bit miserable...
What is the name of the pattern on your black fabric with colorful flowers on it? I know they don't have that pattern anymore, but I would like to ask around to see if I can find that pattern. I've been waiting to buy from them because I just don't like any of their current fabrics.
Quick question, when you were talking about just changing the absorbers. What if the rick rac part of the liner gets soiled? Is that okay? Or do you usually change the whole thing if blood does get on that?
Thank You so much for your video reviews of cloth pads! Very informative and helpful! You rock and it's great 2 see another ample woman in tune with herself. Really dispels the myth that the only women who use these kinds of products are "granola twiggy" sized woman :-)
I have made my own liners. I bought kits from Lunapads, but I feel like it limits you in the liner department if you don't want to buy their more expensive kits. So I just bought fleece, or cut up pieces of old fleece that I have no use for in this hot weather, and made my own. They are made of 2 layers of fleece, so they're good for days when I need the liner to last another couple hours
I made my own. I really like using them and I now use them 100%. I have found that I am not cramping and my flow is about half as much with my washable pads.
I recommend ALL women get off those chemical filled, disposable pads and use Luna or any kind of cotton washable pad. Your body will thank you.
this may be a dumb question but do you get that "smell" when you use these pads? like i hate using pads because once the blood hits air-it makes this smell; (u know what im talking about...) and i hate it. thats why i use tampons. what can i do to not have the smell? (im not saying i have a smelly pussy or anything-its just during menstruation, and ever girl gets it...)
@foxyvixen19 Most of the smell you are refering to comes from the iron in the blood reacting with the chemicals they use to bleach the cotton and other chemicals in disposables. i find that I don't get that smell hardly at all when using cloth pads. Some of the smell is also because the disposables dont "breathe", so it stays damp and allows bacteria to grow. Cloth pads allow for air flow, so your dryer, more comfy and way way less smell!
Out of all of your cloth pad brands, which one do you like best? Lunapads, Party in my Pants pads, etc... And same with menstrual cups, which do you prefer most, Divacup, ladycup, etc...
Thanks :) Oh and I love your videos and your daughter is adorable!
i don't like lunapads. they're so expensive. All the pads i have i bought them on Etsy and they was so much cheaper and cuter ! the pantyliner should be okay but still too expensive.
I like the ones of the seller iKarly on etsy. Moonpads are awesome too for pantyliner they're so soft.

these look very frayed. looks like it has poor worksmanship. :(

@MusicFantagePixies They do tend to fray a bit, but I have had mine for a long time and this hasn't been a problem. They are sturdier than they look
