I beat this mission won the nissan and at about 97% complete i turned my system of while saving or something and woosh gone. now in at 24% and stuck again you gotta drive a perfect drive on the hardest track on freaking sport tires in a car that loves to understeer. Look at the sector times on a winner and try to match stay on the track and drive on the very edge of perfection and you will succeed :)
@Kevin01792 Maybe you're just too little exercise, then at least I had to try and at least 10 times to approach to the way (I think SL 300) commercially. This mission is the hardest of all, you've to spend many times, if you really want to complete it. However, always good luck and give up not too quickly, you don't even have to make this run immediately. ;)
@boss350a - like you, there may be many, if not most of the gran turismo player they are not waiting, it's true that it is frustrating, after all, it takes valuable playing time that would have mission can solve it by simply time-shifting, but it's too late now

@blainyrules - a really simple answer on your question, you can hold your finger on both gas and brake pedal, thats the answer. enjoy the endurances, they're really hard, if you will get a-spec points :)

@VIT0R1984 At first I didn't think he cheated, but I'm doing this race right now and at the first check point, I'm 1:57 behind first place, he is 1:42 behind first place. I may not be the best driver, and he's pretty good, but theres no way you can make that big of a gap in such little time.
You did a cheat. Because you start at the 1:55:300s, and there's no countdown at the screen. It's true that you're a good racer during the mission, but you CHEATED.
So do you have to over speed in the turns ? or do you just watch for the recommended speed indecator and just follow that, could you still win ? because i keep trying to go as fast as i can through the whole race and i keep getting penalties.
this game lacks realism in driving, the least they could do is let us see a bit of the front side end of the car when it turns left or right. Its too stiff the way it is now, reminds me of that shitty game project gotham.
This game was ahead of its time, Im cant wait to see the IGN review on GT5, a full 10/10 is acully realistic. And for those who say that GT5 will not have any damage efects, Its the GT5 PROLOGUE with doesnt have any damage efects but GT5 will.
What idiot at Polyphony Digital allowed this long 1 minute and 55 second wait in before you could even begin to drive this mission? Anyway I did this and it took me 24 retries. On my 25th attempt I won.
@HEADSHOTDEALER - Yeah is really annoying, without skip option, there are even two minutes of my knowledge, this is unfortunately, because it starts with the fast c9, well it had reduced slightly, sorry if it's too long.
@HEADSHOTDEALER Yes its very frustrating. Perhaps try going into practice with the same car and the same settings. You can calculate from the video that a winning time is 7minutes 21.154 seconds. It might be easier for you to get comfortable with beating this time before you try it in the mission where you have to wait so long.
The only thing that is really upsetting, is that you have to wait for so long before you start. Main reason, why I find it really hard to retry over and over again.
@burningwheels79 Thanks for responding, but i've noticed that it actually works.. It only doesn't work with the ps3 slim and with the ps3 40gb edition... The ps3 comes with a software to run ps2 games.. My ps3 hadn't came with that software, but in the guide I found the answer to my doubt, said that you can download the software from the ps store.. and it'll work... And again, thanks for responding!!
@JorjoLucas yeah it'll be out soon i hear. It was supposeldy a shortage of discs or something during production of the game. They've got it sorted out now apparently...waiting for that release date :)
A ticket would be somewhat exaggerated. The key is to prct. & memorization of the track, just the impt. curves from Metzgesfeld to mine, you should by heart. The carousel is also not to underest., because you can quickly break out right, you brake too late. From Klost. is again closely after the sharp curve, be careful that you don’t take the roundabout too fast, way to jump hill you should be cautious but determ. to go fast, give in any case too little gas and only brake if necessary.

i remember this challange on the game. took me about 20 trys and thats alot considering how long the track is! makes it harder cos u aint allowed to go on the grass cos u failed

This is the only part of the game I haven't beat yet. Mostly because of the initial wait to start, and a little bit of frustration..lol. Impressive run. How many times did you attempt this before success?
I can agree with you, this mission is and remains the most difficult time I had tried more than 10 uses, I would roughly estimate. it also requires quite a lot of concentration, after a short time (1-2 hours), I felt even then the finger hurts :)
yes the good old gt4 sessions are a nice time, i've not done before 2010 all 100% ingame, i've destroyed more than two joypads, because i had done many missions never *grin*
Hi its the german pal version, you'll be starting at 2:00:00 - to wait for starting all other 5 cars, but i've a bit from the original video cutted and yes in this version you start at 1'55.000.
oh well, I think that can make anyone a bit of practice intended to help .. much luck, this course is really damn hard, but he is going incredibly good, despite its pitfalls :)
that's nothing special, not even with a manual steering wheel & circuit, but driven with automatic controller &. however, your videos are really good, the booting is very risky, but worth seeing respect.
I never achieved this mission, since the game came out, I couldn´t, my friend and I tried to do our best in this mission but we only reached the 4th. place, we have the american version, so we have to wait longer for the start, I don´t know where do we fail, and it gets worse because of the tire´s type...same with the Time Challenge in GT5, I´ve scored 1.41.1... but I think I have more difficult to drive that 370z than this SLR.

smooth driving. The SLR mission on Nurburgring tests even some of the best drivers. Good job, the finish was very impressive. I know I couldnt do it (because I havent made it past that mission), too much car and too technical of a track. When GT5 comes out send me a Playstation Network request

Turn it off in the tuning menu, once you get used to it, it helps you feel more of the car allowing you to run better laps. You're welcome, glad I could help.

Very close at the end, excellent driving. You dont need as much brake in the corners as you think you might, and as you have showed in your video.

What idiot at Polyphony Digital allowed this long 1 minute and 55 second wait in before you could even begin to drive this mission? Anyway I did this and it took me 24 retries. On my 25th attempt I won.

@HEADSHOTDEALER - Yeah is really annoying, without skip option, there are even two minutes of my knowledge, this is unfortunately, because it starts with the fast c9, well it had reduced slightly, sorry if it's too long.

@HEADSHOTDEALER Yes its very frustrating. Perhaps try going into practice with the same car and the same settings. You can calculate from the video that a winning time is 7minutes 21.154 seconds. It might be easier for you to get comfortable with beating this time before you try it in the mission where you have to wait so long.

The only thing that is really upsetting, is that you have to wait for so long before you start. Main reason, why I find it really hard to retry over and over again.

@MrDave709 - Hello Dave, no i've it played on ps2, i'm not sure, but i think the game don't work with the ps3.

@burningwheels79 Thanks for responding, but i've noticed that it actually works.. It only doesn't work with the ps3 slim and with the ps3 40gb edition... The ps3 comes with a software to run ps2 games.. My ps3 hadn't came with that software, but in the guide I found the answer to my doubt, said that you can download the software from the ps store.. and it'll work... And again, thanks for responding!!

A ticket would be somewhat exaggerated. The key is to prct. & memorization of the track, just the impt. curves from Metzgesfeld to mine, you should by heart. The carousel is also not to underest., because you can quickly break out right, you brake too late. From Klost. is again closely after the sharp curve, be careful that you don’t take the roundabout too fast, way to jump hill you should be cautious but determ. to go fast, give in any case too little gas and only brake if necessary.

@ericsbuds - cheers eric, wish you much luck for this course, sure it is very hard to beat the mercedes, yeah this game is a legend, of the motor racing series, since there are exists cars, in terms driver training and the car at all, too bad I still do not own PS3 .. :(

i remember this challange on the game. took me about 20 trys and thats alot considering how long the track is! makes it harder cos u aint allowed to go on the grass cos u failed

This is the only part of the game I haven't beat yet. Mostly because of the initial wait to start, and a little bit of frustration..lol. Impressive run. How many times did you attempt this before success?

I can agree with you, this mission is and remains the most difficult time I had tried more than 10 uses, I would roughly estimate. it also requires quite a lot of concentration, after a short time (1-2 hours), I felt even then the finger hurts :)

yes the good old gt4 sessions are a nice time, i've not done before 2010 all 100% ingame, i've destroyed more than two joypads, because i had done many missions never *grin*

Hi its the german pal version, you'll be starting at 2:00:00 - to wait for starting all other 5 cars, but i've a bit from the original video cutted and yes in this version you start at 1'55.000.

I never achieved this mission, since the game came out, I couldn´t, my friend and I tried to do our best in this mission but we only reached the 4th. place, we have the american version, so we have to wait longer for the start, I don´t know where do we fail, and it gets worse because of the tire´s type...same with the Time Challenge in GT5, I´ve scored 1.41.1... but I think I have more difficult to drive that 370z than this SLR.

smooth driving. The SLR mission on Nurburgring tests even some of the best drivers. Good job, the finish was very impressive. I know I couldnt do it (because I havent made it past that mission), too much car and too technical of a track. When GT5 comes out send me a Playstation Network request

Turn it off in the tuning menu, once you get used to it, it helps you feel more of the car allowing you to run better laps. You're welcome, glad I could help.

hi nishraa, in this video you can see the pal version, it's also played with this version. if i don't better know it, i would say in the ntsc version you start over 1:55 min. correct me if it's false. :)
