Im gonna in mainly for 82nd Airborne but I want to try the Sappers and Rangers.

@thire10 82nd Airborne, Sapper & Rangers aren't even the same....82nd ABD is a division or unit where you could be stationed (Ft. Bragg, NC). Sapper is a US Army school, while there's Ranger School & also Ranger units at Ft. Benning, GA. So graduating Ranger school also doesn't make you a Ranger, it just makes you Ranger school qualified. You're officially a Ranger when your in a Ranger Unit.

@thire10 Don't get all butt hurt just because you watched a couple youtube vids of some notable US Army units & schools and tried to sound all Hooah naming off a couple of them; then got called out on in your inaccuracies. What you said showed a lack of knowledge, and so you got corrected by a former Staff Sergeant in the US Army who was stationed at Ft. Bragg - Home of the Airborne, Special Ops & 82nd ABD.

@SaiVihtooMyint yes, I have a buddy that was a sapper back in 06. He said he performed alot of operations alongside other SF units. He even worked with a few seals securing a rooftop at one point.

@SaiVihtooMyint No...@Mrcherokee19 is wrong. A Sapper is just a term for a combat engineer. SLC is just a leadership school in the same vein as Ranger school. Graduating from it does not make you Special Ops just like going to Ranger School doesn't make you Special Ops. Are there Special Operations Sapper? Yes but they are SF qualified and in an SF unit.

When I went through the march was 13 miles and we had three hours. 1LT Ken Rigsbee and Eric Capson set the course record by doing it in 1:54 minutes. If you walk it,you fail.

seems like between this episode and the ranger episode, a lot of these guys apply to these schools with no clue as to what it takes to make it. they want to be a ranger or sapper because it "sounds cool". but you can't show up out of shape and expect things to get easier as you go. if you wuss out on the first event, you're wasting everyone's time.
