Actually the Explorer sales blew up when it was introduced in 1990 with the 1991 model year; becoming the best selling SUV at the time. Jurassic Park came out in 1993.
Notice how smokey and the bandit sold the fuck out of trans ams, jurassic park sold the fuck out of the ford explorer, and twister sold the fuck out of dodge ram trucks. So anybody wanting to make a movie on a limited budget, make a car movie.
@wheelmanstan and how F&F sold the Mitsu Eclipse, Supra, and RX-7. But the point is make a movie and use normal everyday cars and give them ALOT of screen time and some interesting gadgets or something
@sexyboi142 The f&f was probably made to sell aftermarket parts lol. I just watched a film where Mcnamara, the guy who pretty much saved FORD in the 50's is talking about how padded dashboards and seat belts came about. He said everyone was against seat belts, no one would wear them. So he wanted to treat people like eggs. Package them carefully and they won't break. I'll never take my soft dashboard for granted again. Great film "the fog of war". It's about war, but everyone should see it.
@Clestae I know. Commercials back in the day were actually interesting, unlike today's commercials where the only interest is to get you to buy the product.
@ChevyJoe57 lol if you call that interesting, than I dunno what fun is for you. Todays commercials have more dramatic affect since its marketed better.
Hmm the 1990s....I remember little if anything about 1993, but I remember 1994 quite well and loved it, so if 1993 was anything like 1994 it must have been awesome.
