  • Thanks for this, I really appreciate giving me a way to explain to people what is happening to me. I have had a ms hug that started the middle of November slowed down after 3 days of steroid treatment and now is back. You are absolutely correct about the roller coaster ride. I hope you are doing well.

  • i feel identified with the roller coaster...

  • Get off the roller coaster with LDN. See YouTubers using it. They are the happy ones.

  • I really like your explanation of MS. It really does feel like a roller coaster. When people ask me what it feels like with my MS, I will use your analogy.....but will add having numb legs too :) Thanks for giving us a voice. God bless!

  • Thank You <3

  • Thank-you for sharing! I new at MS. I'm on the roll coaster that keeps going down. I have been for 7 months now. I have an additional complication. I also have small aneurysms in the veins of the front side of my brain. I've been stuck on my recliner while we wait to see if the bleeds heal on their own. I enjoyed your video a lot. I don't know why it took me so long to come to You Tube! I went to MS sights my doc recommended, vision keeps me from reading long. You inspired me! Thanks! NiCee

  • You are a very likeable person. I admire your grace and humility.

"never compare yourself to to others. Someone will always be better or worse than you are but never the same as."

  • You're definately right on no one being the same as me, good job really, I'm not sure the world could handle two of me ;-)

Thank you for your kind words =)

  • Cheers Gav. My favourite bit is at 2:25 to 2:30. "Knowledge that they have to deal with...Um." Would be good on a loop with a soundtrack by The Fall. But maybe that's just me...

    ;-)

  • I like your videos. You are wonderful and cute;)

  • Thanks =) You'll get me all embarrassed now ;-)

  • This took a lot of courage. Thank you. To explain to friends and family and the world about MS, well, it's so very difficult because there is this certain picture of patients with MS, walkers, wheelchairs, the whole bit. But some of us have quiet difficulties. We work. Struggle to get through the beginning of this "rollercoaster" of fatigue and minor symptoms, afraid of when the next big attack will come and send us to the Emergency room, or hinder our lives in some significant way.

  • Riding a rollercoaster backwards is exactly right.

  • Hi there, saw your link on Facebook. I liked your posts here, you have a pleasant voice and calm effect. Yes, it's the rollercoaster we are on. Glad to "meet" you. Keep posting, I'll be subscribing. Ciao and thanks. A

  • and also very insightful - thank you!

  • Ah - your head's not that bad!!! Great vid. I like the roller coaster analogy. I agree - I remember going on roller coasters as a kid and it was fun - it's less fun when you appear to be the only one on the roller coaster! It is nice to be able to wave to another friend on the track next to you from time to time and see that you are ok and I am ok... hope that's not taking the analogy too far! Will keep an eye on your channel. Kerri xo

  • actually, thats a pretty damn good extention of the analogy, might have to steal it ;-)

  • Be my guest! I certainly plan on stealing yours!! ;-D

  • How rude =P Nah, go for it, just give me some credit when you do =)

  • Of course - all accolades and royalties will be directed to your-generous-self. :)

  • excellent =) and I'll make sure to namecheck you in the 'revised' rollercoaster ;-)

  • keep strong and stay safe fella,,, a cure is arond the corner,,, how fucking mint will it feel to be well again? it's a cunt of a desesase but it ain't terminal and is beatable.... i know i'm gonna beat it...

  • Thanks for sharing your thoughts, mate. All the best :)

  • Thanks for sharing your thoughts, mate. All the best. :)

  • Bless you. My thoughts are with you in these difficult times.

  • Times are pretty good actually at the moment, although I can see why people might think they're not listening to myself in that video lol

  • Good let's hope it stays like that for many years to come for you. Are you still managing to work or are you dedicating your time to fundraising?...which I might add is fantastic...

  • Well, thats the plan for the wheelchair. I've got one but haven't felt the need to use it for months to the point where it's become a coat stand lol

Not working unfortunately, but thats more the job market than anything really.

And yeah, still fundraising, speaking of which, if you wanted to sponsor me a pound or two (or five ;-)) I wouldn't complain =) There's a link to my blog in my profile and a link to the sponsorship page on the top right (slightly convoluted

  • Very well said. Hopefully this will give the general public a small understanding of wot it is like to have MS.

  • That was well said :) and so true to word
