I had a 1957 Saab 93 ..and then a Saab 96 ..1964..was a great car and so nice to drive on small roads:)

I have a 1960 Saab 96 myself. The funny thing is that when I am driving it, I automatically start driving like I am in a rally. You just can't drive it slowly.

SAAB 96 with it's small engine proved to be an impressive racer against the much bigger and and stronger other European cars thanks to it's superb handling and engineering. Winning the Montecarlo rally twice in 1962 and 1963 and third in 1964 - 65. SAAB was the engineers dream car and will hopefully be that again now.

I think Saab was pretty early to introduce FWD. US and Jap cars didn't really have it til the 70s.

hell yea new more powerful 42hp engine, I was so sick of the old 24hp slug.........lol this is weird my 06 saab 93 aero has almost 300hp lol they have came a LONG way
