@seasonsbleed i had to research GM foods quite heavly for a piece of coursework. now i dont claim to be an expert but from the peer reviewed articals i read as well as other sources, aswell a trying to remine unbias, i feel i know the subject matter quite well. and i concluded that, while with risks, gm can benifit sociaty greatly.

also i know scare-mungering, bias propaganda when i see it.

When actually their education systems are of MUCH MUCH higher quality than in the US. GMO's have been banned in most places in Europe, because the people have the common sense to boycott them. GM's have increased the amount of chemicals sprayed by 3 times, lowered yields, ruined lives. Think about it

@killingrang I have looked up pro-gmo claims.. and there have been absolutely ZERO studies done on the long term effects. And "A" level googling? Why don't you look into the sources in jeffrey smith's book. Why don't you look at india, and many south american countries and the effects and contamination. Why don't you look up japan's problem with canola seed contamination. It's been banned for years now and the GMO's still show up in their locally grown produce. Look up the austrian rat study

@killingrang Glyphosate robs the soil of nutrients & increases disease.. hence Monsanto paying companies to spray at least 2 other herbicides other than roundup. Monsanto sues non-gmo farmers when their crops are contaminated with GMO's for patent infringement and have won many cases. Leading to those farmers being put out of business. The crops are starting to cross breed with weeds (which they knew was going to happen) and becoming resistant. The only profit farmers get is because of subsidies

@killingrang If you know Europe then why are you having so much trouble finding anything against GMO's.. it's out there everywhere. Many documentaries, many ex FDA scientists have spoken out, the leading GMO scientist in the world and biggest proponent of GMO's did a test which showed they were inherently dangerous and spoke out against them and was discredited. That was jeffrey's inspiration. Besides, farmers would be losing money on GMO's without the subsidies.. it's a joke

Google "Arpad Pusztai" or try BT cotton killing animals in india.. watch the GMO videos on here where they go down to south america and show interviews with the farmers that live there and government that explain why they are even legal (and the gov. paying monsanto per acre from black market takeover) One of em you see a jungle of nothing but GM soy and the farmer. "used to be able to grow all our food here, now the soy takes it all over all"

@Adeptmind Árpád Pusztai showed that the GM potatos he tested had negative effects. the BT cotton was causing damage. i never stated that GM crops were 100% safe and iu think regous testing should be done to make sure they are safe before ever being released. Monsanto is a corpation and seems to be behind alot of GM contaverses. you need to rember that corpations are a-moral and will do things that hurt people if it makes them money.

anyway it seems to be that GM food is not the problem, its human corruption. does this mean we should abandion the science. NO. there are to many benifits availiable. what needs to be done is the application should be improved.

Oh I have learned about it!!! In the summer time I grow a very good portion of my own food, I SAVE SEEDS, and I buy organic when it isn't growing in my yard.
