I see nothing wrong with doing this, after all "Creation" may not even come out here in the US. And heck, the more we can get people interested in Darwin the better I say, Everyone should understand and appreciate Evolution.
I'm pretty sure they're doing it because the 250 year anniversary of the publication of The Origin of Species is coming up. Same reason they make scary movies around Halloween, and christmas movies around christmas.
Clearly it must have been some Yahweh or Jehovah worshiper. They frown upon people knowing the real truth about things and the theory of evolution is one big threat to them.
"That guy looks nothing like Darwin and his acting is horrendous."
Says YOU, oh learned film critic. Here's my solution for you: Don't watch it! Stick to the reality shows and Saturday morning cartoons. Okay? They seem to be more your speed.
Well he earned my respect in Lost so I'd watch this.

this was a decent video. I had to watch it for a class and it was not a waste of time. 4/5 stars.

We all owe a lot to Darwin for setting the foundation for all modern biology. I just find it a bit sad that I can't shake his hand.

I don't like how they're making this, when "creation" is out in theaters. Seems like they're just trying to get attention, or jump on an easy ride.

Well come to mention it, maybe I won't.
I'll leave garbage admiring to people more competent, such as yourself.
