That one rider was sporting a Comet VooDoo topmount deck. Most DH riders I see ride drop downs and drop thru drop downs. Why don't you see more topmounts in DH races?

Top mounts are more stables boards in many instances, but currently the boards with the highest clocked speeds are drop decks. I believe the Landyatchz Evo has the current record. Lot's of riders ride decks like the Rayne Avenger for DH which is top mounted. Top mounts are becoming a bit more popular in DH.
