For any non native english speakers: The proof of how good a pudding is can be tested by eating it.

That idiom is actually a nonsensical misquote of "The proof of the pudding is in the eating," which means that in order to believe something, you have to see/taste it to prove it exists. I think it's originally from the English translation of Don Quixote, but it's normally misquoted as "the proof is in the pudding" now and tends to be used by sports casters, lol.
