I can honestly say the main reasons why these problems exist within the black community is the mix of externalized racism and blacks not helping out or teaching other blacks. You mentioned every other race was able to COLLECTIVELY get it together within a generation. But not blacks because blacks are too busy shitting on one another and not teaching one another because they feel they're in COMPETITION with one another all the time.

That's not true, blacks will work hard for what they get...the problem is that many young black males work hard towards the wrong things. All they need is guidance in the right direction.

it has to do with genetics. the black population on average has a lower IQ then white people, which will make them less productive. there are even studies with controls for poverty and environment and the results dont change.

@return135 But there's nothing inherent in black people that causes low incomes. Jews and Asians both had dismally low IQs back in the first half of the 20th Century. Today, both groups have IQs rivaling those of white people. Black people have a very anti-intellectual (white man's education!), victim-centered culture in this country. They tend to view intelligence with suspicion and derision. So, black people are not inherently unproductive or lazy.

@kkilo34 im gonna see if i can find the studies i mentioned in my last comment and link them to you cause there are distinct differences between the races, which creates the IQ and income gape. it has less to do with environment and opportunity and has more to do with their intellectual capabilities. i bring up IQ because IQ correlates with income VERY well.

@return135 Yes, I know, on average, black people today have low IQs relative to other races. But as I've stated, so did other races before, who today have higher IQs. So, IQs can change over time. Since the difference between white and black people is a variation on 1/3billionth of the human genome, I find it hard to believe that black people's intellect would be biologically predetermined to be inferior to white people's. I see no evidence of this at all.

@kkilo34 also, im not sure if that 1/3billion number is accurate because ive heard a bunch of different numbers, however, even a small difference makes a huge difference. after all, ive heard scientists say our genetics is very very similar to chimpanzee's, and there are clear differences between humans and chimps. i have even heard that the differences between the races is greater then the differences between male and female.

I don't think that black people on the average , high an AVERSION towards engaging in intellectuall activities and I don't think that white people in general are SO into book learning and promoting intelligence. On average, no matter what race you belong to, there seems to be an aversion for being intelligence in general amongst at least americans anyway. If you look at the recent statistics on education , you will see that quality of education most american school children received is subpar.

Some segments of black culture are anti-intellecutual, but I can point to you a number of segments that are anti-intellectual . Much of redneck culture is anti-intellectual and a number of fundementalist christian groups are anti-intellectuals who members are primarily whites. I have seen more backlash against the teaching of the theory of evolution in school from white christian parents than I have seen from any black parents. Anti-intelecutualism exist in every race, not just unique to blacks.
