When you're burning moxa, you only burn 2/3's of the moxa cones on the skin. If you have corns or warts then you burn them all the way down.

I have seen the aftermath from this. Sometimes if leaves those little scars that you get from a cat scratch... that was an example... they turn brownish then eventually go away.
