I got my start with Lionel Trains when I was growing up, thanks to Great Uncle Chuck, who purchased them in the 50s. Some people drive Fords some GMC, some Chrysler and others yet foreign manufactures. The point here his that competition is good for the hobby! Whether your preferences lie with Lionel, Williams or MTH, I dont really care, I enjoy model trains regardless of who makes them.
If memory serves me correctly, Lionel has been in business for over 100 years, so using your argument, MTH is the copy cat. If you want to rip on Lionel, fine, but use your own page, not mine, Tom
Do you understand what COMPETITION is? It is where diferent companies producing the same type of goods compete with each other by coming out with better products than the other(s). In this chase, MTH came out with ditch lights and the heritage units, so Lionel then COMPETED by coming out with them as well. And, according to several scources, the LIONEL heritage versions are MORE accurate than the MTH version....
@MthRailFanatic I for one am a fan of both Lionel and MTH but something still tells me that Lionel is doing better then MTH...However MTh got trains with accurate sounds at a cheaper price Lionel got great Detailed trains but too expansive.
Thanks, we haven't even put a dent in it, just taking it slow. we have already placed over 1000 ties, and have at least that many more to go. The first portal/mountain still needs some more ground cover but so far so good.
there all nice but i favor your postwar f-3 streamliner set the most
