Ofc you enjoy it much more. He shows how to play this game. Not those losers who use tools for speed runs. I beated this game when i was 11 year old. And mine was japanese version. I never knew how to get the candle exept for today :) but i love this game its one of my top 10 nes games. Irate Gamer problaby didnt even play it trough. Just took password on the net. I'm an avid fan of speedruns, especially SDA, but I've been watching this for a bit (up to part 3 atm), and just wanted to say I'm enjoying this more than any speedrun I've seen for it, or any Let's Play since most commentators are annoying.

I hope Konami decides to do a 3-D Goonies followup. They can make it an original game to avoid license fees, but still make it fun. It will have the "find item x to make it to area y" coolness of G2.

Make it gameplay mix of Metroid Prime, Banjo Kazooie and God of War, but with all the same items, plus more. Make it at least 30 hours of gameplay. Include rock waterslides from the movie and caverns from G2. Give it extra online features & DLC.

My mind is racing, I hope Konami decides to do one!

Nightwish0r1987, great job! I think it took me about 6 months to beat this back in '88, but you obviously did it faster than I ever could.

I discovered the best way to do it was simply: Hammer, punch and search every wall.

Another thing, I believe this game was a prelude to Castlevania: SotN and Super Metroid, anybody else agree?

Ouch! What do you do? How did we ever know to hit the old man five times when we were younger? Even I can't recall. I did beat this game without any guides and with all the items, but how I did it is a remarkable wonder of patience.

When you use it, the goonies give you some hints about the place, they're locked up.
