O'Rielly claims to report the truth and that he is an advocate for fair treatment among the media and that his ratings are high because he is honest and he does convey the truth of specific circumstances when no other host will. If McDonalds claimed to be the healtiest place to eat and in turn sells 1000 hamburgers a day and Walmart claimed to be the best place to work and therefore it employs millions of people, then your analogy would be accurate. But clearly, they do not claim these things.
