You have a canon camera and use an alien bees flash? and i just bought an alien bees light but under my camera settings it says " incompatible flash or flash's power is turned off" from what i understand only Canon Speedlites can be adjusted via the camera's menu... do u have this issue? do i keep using alien bees?

Sssssoooo crappy Emily. Your so talented. That shoot that I finally got, I totally blew it. I don't mean just blew it a little, no I totally owned it. I tried your trick of putting things in front of the lens to create some effect, ( note to self, be looking at the models facial expression before final edit) the effect looked awesome to bad the model looked like a dork. Anyway, your works inspiring keep it up.

I was curious. I see in most of your shots that you are actually aiming your beauty dish aiming below the model and at her mid section. I was curious as to why you do that? Obviously you are getting the results. Is that so that the 'feather' of the light is hitting their faces only? Thanks

Oh wow, these shots are AMAZING! If you don't mind me asking, do you intentionally underexpose the background by about 1 or two stops, while aiming for the model to be properly exposed by using the Mola Setti?
