The ending chord is a C but without touching the second string.

Yes I agree with you, P.Simon´s influence can almost be breathed in this song, but if you take a look on his myspace and hear the other songs you ´ll notice he´s got his own style.There are even country instruments.....and it´s got nothing to do with Paul, and I think that so it must be..
