  • "And I just... played shit." lmao love you Ringo!

  • the maharishi = band wagon jumper, manipulator, self righteous, smelly, greasy "guru" ..the only thing he was good for was expanding the minds of the Beatles musically, particularly George, which we the fans, and the rest of the world has benefited from..other than that, he was a useless individual ..period !

  • When the Beatles came on the scene, Elvis became yesterdays news....there was no turning back.

  • The Beatles were the Teresa Teng of the Occidental World.

  • It makes me so sad to hear how Ringo says "The realisation was really kicking in that nobody was listening."

These boys produced such beautiful and catchy music that is still popular today, they worked for hours and hours on songs, perfecting everything. And nobody listened. They were just interested in how they looked and what they represented.

    :(

  • George later met Elvis backstage after a concert at Madison Square Garden in late 1971. George was in New York editing the film for the Concert For Bangla Desh movie. George said that with the real long hair and beard he had at the time, Elvis didn't recognize him.

  • on every song he look likes he is falling aslee zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz lol

  • incredible.... "they used us as an excuse to act mad" that, right there I think is the key to their success.... like somebody else said, they were musicians before pop stars... Bieber would be saying..."yes, they are crazy for me". It's amazing how humble they stayed, and how determined they were to improve their music, which is why they stopped doing tours, and what happened right after? Sgt pepper!!!! among other masterpieces. BEST BAND IN HISTORY!!!

  • i love how pauls just casually, ya know, riding a boat.

  • @rihannarox11 that's how he rolls

  • @Dan5cerKa5t too cool

  • 04:33 I'm loving the way macca goes a bit street "It was all very that"

  • ive only seen the vhs version of the anthology, and its been a long time since ive watched it, but am i remembering wrong that more of the album versions were featured rather than demos? idk.

  • im guessing these vids are the dvds of the anthology because has anyone else noticed alot of the versions of the songs they use on this are demos and not the masters that made it to the albums? that sucks. i noticed it right away. whatever, no big deal really, just pointing it out. amazing anyways.

  • Ringo looks a little choked up a little after 4:00 maybe nostalgic or something.

  • @niccysgirl10

Do you care about the Anthology or the comments posted on it? focus on the movie not the comments ok

  • So according to Ringo...about Elvis's association with the CIA and enforcing The Beatles out of the US,is that also relevant to the whole case of the US VS.John Lennon back in the 70's?

  • @hellorita24 No because Elvis influenced Nixon to not deport John Lennon. Shortly after, the deportation was called off and Lennon became a legal resident of the US.

  • check out the fish statue next to George LOL

  • ...and The Beatles ARE bigger that Mr.Presley. For sure, her was absolutely important for all, and he IS great, but THEY are better!

  • George Harrison was the only person EVER who looked good with a mostache.

  • Paul: I really think we didn't play that bad

    Ringo: We played like shit

    XD

  • "Beep-Beep'm, Beep-beep, YEAH!!" "Drive My Car". One of my top five favorite Beatles songs.

  • 1:20

George Harrison has incredible hair, Did anyone else notice that?

    Just...Wow, the man had style

  • Ravi Shankar WOOP WOOP!

  • the beatles unos genios! genios!!

  • i think elvis was just sad that he wasnt doing very good at the time when they met because the beatles were on top he was stuck doing those crappy movies

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhh you stepped on my foot, yeah, well, this world is crazy... maybe ill get lucky in this perpetually cold country

  • I really love this part. I would make me when people would get insane, not because your music, but because they were standing there. I had to annoying for the Beatles sitting in a hotelroom and just here people screaming etc.

  • puto elvisss

  • everything from rubber soul on doesnt age one bit from the 1960 to now

  • most of pauls interview seem to be done while hes steering his yacht. how random.

    its so paul

  • its not a yacht, its a river boat

  • anyone notice the fireplace in the background , looks so expensive, presumably this is georges mansion im not sure, only a beatle can get away with wearin a denim jacket in that paradise

  • waiit..

  • The first song is Run For Your Life, the second time it's In My Life.

  • I was talking about the song @ around 3:40. :P

  • Ah, sorry if I confused you andreea1909 was right.

  • "I was just playing shit." God, I love Ringo.

  • they had so much more talent than anyone. PERIOD.

  • @scob62 That's because they worked the hardest.

  • Is that the standard version of Norwegian Wood they play @ 7:35?

  • no it is from the Anthology CD, it most likely is one of the takes

  • Marilyn had already been dead for 3 years.

  • haha thats funny cuz what was british colonies is now america lmfao

  • lmfao still are british mate

  • yea not really...mate

  • Although he does not say so, I am sure George Harrison MUST have been influenced by The Kinks innovative/Indian sounding single "See My Friends" when it comes to the subject of sitars and Indian music. "See My Friends" was released by The Kinks in early '65, well before The Beatles produced their own Indian sounding music.

Some credit to The Kinks is due here.

  • Rubber Soul is a really good album.

  • el gran elvis

  • ELVIScioso NUNCA ME AGRADO DEL TODO...

  • i think 65 is the best of the beatles

  • yeah, but i think 68' were the most creative year

  • i agree that 68 was the most creative year but there is a certain apeal about 1965

  • yo diria que despues del 66 o del disco de sargento pimienta, cuando fue la cumbre de su creatividad.

  • fuck you!

  • only a frustated gay would say that...asshole

  • Tipico yankee elvis he?

  • for me. this is The Beatles best period.

  • absouletly love the beatles

  • that guy Robby shankar came to my high school(del sol) in Vegas to talk to the band. he plays the Indian drum thing and hes really good at sitar. hes a nice guy

  • apologies for a 3 month gap in replying... only just seen your comment

however i believe you are talking about Ravi rather than Robbie Shankar.

  • i think the reason the beatles are the greatest is that they were, musicians, first and foremost before pop stars and they didnt let it get to their head

    that and their constant innovation

  • No, those are John's glasses he was wearing.

  • watching this has changed my point of view on Ringo...i mean i didn't know much about him...the guy is great...lovely Ringo

  • hey whats up with paul and glasses

i mean does he really wear them or what

cuz ive seen sum pix of him wearing them

and then theres other of him not

    anyone?

  • Contact lenses, I'd suppose - Just like John - Paul had more pressure to maintain his image because he was, after all, "THE CUTE ONE". "Cute" guys didn't wear glasses, you know.

  • Paul didn't wear glasses. He had John's glasses on.

  • i think he wears contacts mostly but i really really love the ones he wears in here those poin dexter cuties :-)

  • It seems the only one being really sincere about the meeting with Elvis was Ringo.

  • John Lennon has the coolest hair out of them,

  • I agree with George Martin!I also think it's one of there best albums togheter with Sgt Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band record.

  • On rubber soul theyre music got more interesting , i thing ,for they they took psychedelics and that had a great influence in their arrangements and writing ..

  • Absolutely, I think they wanted to break away the teenybopper image and do different things like what the Beach Boys were doing with Pet Sounds. For me, Rubber Soul is one of the best albums they did along with Revolver.

  • For me, Rubber Soul can't beat Revolver, which I consider their best album of all time.

  • nahh rubber soul is better, but revolver is friggin great too.

  • hell yeah fuck elvis!!

  • still....fuck elvis

  • Remember Elvis is a white southern male. Back in those days, most, but not all white southern males were very insecure human beings, which made them hate people who were differant than them, sometime. Elvis only believe that his so called " redneck mafia bums " were his only true friends. NOT!

  • Rubber Soul is such a great album. That is when John and Paul really grew as song writers.

  • No, not fuck Elvis. Elvis became a joke later on but when he first came onto the scene he changed music in the same way that the Beatles did years later and the beatles themselves were in awe of him.

Too mnay people now only know of the Vegas elvis with the jumpsuite and have no idea about the real Elvis from the 50s.

  • I agree - it's true he was "not cool" for a longer period of time than he was cool - but his cool period was, however brief, really, really cool. (sorry)

  • Remember, you Bozos.... No Elvis...would have never The Beatles...period!! John Lennon said so! That Good enough for me.

  • John was stoned when he said so!!! tee hee hee...

  • I have always wanted the Rubber Soul album, and this video makes me want it even more.

  • i have it on CD i got it from borders bk store. lol this es amazing.

  • yeah

  • fuck elvis...
