I asked Duke Ellington to play this incredible song twice, and he graciously did twice. First, when he was playing with a small group at Harrah's at Lake Tahoe and the second, an event at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in the late 1960's. What you didn't see, unless up close, was his love of the music, and his love of all of those listening.
This is SO peaceful it makes me want to go to a green park and listen to birds sing!
