From droping sticks, broken sticks, cracked heads, stands breaking, foot pedal breaking you name it, i've seen it happen. Regardless of all of that i've never stoped playing in the middle of a song.

hey im a beginner and i was wonderin how u play the high hat fast lik tht with 1 hand.. is there a name 4 tht technique??

@collio12 I'm playing 16th notes. Being able to play fast with one hand is due to muscle memory. with a metronome start off slow playing 16th or 8th notes with one hand, when you get comfortable and can play those 16th notes bring up the speed. Do this everyday, and the muscles in your forearm will get stronger and you'll be able to play faster. And do this for both hands

@SuperCMusic u are pretty right. im jus gonna finish by sayin that u also use the technique " shoulder tip". and wut i mean is u hit the surface of the high hat cymbal, then, the the edge. if he slowed down, you would see it. shoulder tip. shoulder tip. so collio12, thats the actual technique. shoulder tip.

@collio12 Also to piggyback on what he said, i know i'm late, but he is using a technique called the moeller stroke. it's advanced so after you get used to the muscle memory of the 16th notes, you can start working on that technique to play more efficiently.
