it was filmed using performance capture which basically means they covered the actors in wires which pick up the movement of the actors and filmed it infront of green screen. then they animated it on the computer so all of the actions you see where actually acted out by the actors then they just edited the look and the background etc on a computer and then the film was completed. obviously its more tricker than it sounds. but search

Notice how in the most recent trailers, they are playing the "This... is... Beowolf!" clip. I didn't even like "300" but this is one of the most obvious and shameless advertising rip offs I've ever seen. Did they really think no one will go to this movie, unless it reminds them of 300? Did they have to make this line said in the EXACT same manner as "This... is... Sparta?"
