It was for Viennese waltz. Ironically though it seemed like the whole dance could do without the shoes and the costume. It would be contemporary - a great contemporary piece but not the waltz... who choreographed this? maybe he was inspired by their style

This dance routine inspired me to make a story behind their dance... it is one of my favourites... and it made me cry :') this is definitely the best seasons SYTYCD ever had in my opinion. They had such fabulous dancers in that season... CAN I GET A DVD OF THIS SEASON!??!?!?!?!?!

@ksmit135...I believe the reason there's so little waltz in this routine is because the story took precedent. If you watch the full segment the story is he is a spirit that's trying to reach out to her and she can feel but can't see him. Whether that was a good idea in the end is up for debate but personally I thought the it was great as a whole.

@Juniversal The dance is very pretty, but if they had give a similar performance in any other style, the judges would have panned the it. Most of the other performances are representative of their style, the ballroom and latin ones very rarely are.

Rita & Marco from "Achas que Sabes Dançar" (portuguese version of SYTYCD) also danced this song on the show, but in contemporary style. it was better.

On "Achas Que Sabes dançar" they also danced No Air of jordin sparks & chris brown, but with Hip Hop Fusion style. they also danced it better.

PS. i don't know to speak english very well, but i LOVE SYTYCD so please forget my errors.
