BRAVO!! I saw this LIVE last night! Being there brought tears to my eyes literally throughout the whole performance. But I must say that the Music was the most Captivating aspect of the whole thing. It made everything else blossom. It truly was one of the best performances I have ever seen.., O_o
This song goes right to the heart, Cirque du Soleil is a genius organization. Their shows are the best on earth! Never fails to give me the chills no matter how many times I've seen it, the visual dynamics of all of their shows are fantastic and truly art in its truest form. There is always a message which is true to anyone who sees it no matter where they are from making their shows universal. Magnificent, truly magnificent.
i played this song last year for my marching band and it was awesome!!! it was my favorite field show... i miss it.. and good luck to those who r playing it this year! have fun! i love the 1st trumpet part <3
yeah, i have read that they use several languages as a basis for creating their Cirquish. i think it is so that there is no translation to distract you from your emotional response.
Yes Cirque du Soleil lyrics are made up of a blend of various languages so they are next to impossible to translate which stinks. Actually Cirque du Soleil is a Canadian production, not French...but they do speak French there.
song in Cirquish (language Cirque du Soleil) part 2 Atmadja Dostaa la la Sve atmadja Seguii muya... Ventori.... Svi i.... Atmadja Dostaa la la Sve atmadja Seguii muya norae
She might have been older than that when this was done, but the show started when she was that age. You can look it up on the cirque du solei website. The shows usually go for about 4 yrs.
We're doing the Quidam show for marching band at my school this year... I feel so privelaged [and incompetent!] whenever I watch this because it's just so beautiful. =]
I think the first part is something about travelers coming togther. I could be wrong. I heard that part of th lyrics were in French and the rest was in Bulgarian, but that might not be true. No one is really sure. I think Atmajda is a Turkish word- probably a name. But the lyrics look more Slavic. Hope this help. ^-^
Audrey Benoit Jutras was ten years old when she first sang this. She is the daughter of one of the music composers
This is from the website- "When it came time to cast the role of Zoé, we ended up choosing my ten-year-old daughter. It was tough, because I had been touring for years, and now, here she was going on tour for the next four years. At the premiere, I was there as both father and composer, so it was doubly nerve-wracking ..."

it's a made up word pronounced like
Hoft-tho-thee-ala
so dostaa la la is squished together to be pronounced like that.
