  • 5:05 HAHAHAHAHA PIPPI LÅNGSTRUMP!!!!!!!!!

    Fan va rätt! XD

  • Simply Brilliant !

  • I'd like to think that there will be another electric guitarist to come along and play like Shawn. Hard to follow in that mans footsteps. Saw him play 3 times live w. Hellborg and Sipe. Nothing in my 36 years of going to jazz and rock gigs have I ever seen a guitarist play like him. Nobody came even close!!! What a gentle man. RIP Shawn

  • How can anyone listen to the likes of Clapton post Shawn Lane?

  • Dude ANDERS!!! this is the ultimate trio, only thing to add here would be Jens Johannson! FISSION and Heavy Machinery are the best Fusion Prog Rock albums! EVER!

  • Dog BBQ! That bass is pretty

  • What a privilege to see this video.

    Much love, RIP Shawn.

  • Saw Shawn Lane play at NAMM with Jonas it was a complete mind fuck. 10 times better than this and this is off the charts....

    Jason the Viking halvorsen

  • Sorry, it was at Stings and Things (next to a laundromat)

  • BTW,Congrats and Thanks for popularizing(discovering) Shawn, I just heard the "LAUNDROMAT" story... and how he joined in on PRESTO VIVACE, cool!

  • OUCH! SHAWN LANE SCORCHES!!!

  • i think you are shit

  • The clip starts with the head of "Dog BBQ" (which is on "e" and "Jonas Hellborg Group" in different incarnations) and then the fast slap part of "Moving" (the one that's 0:50 into the track, and which is also on both "e" and "Jonas Hellborg Group"). Since Anders recorded on the "e" album (1994, 4 years before this clip), these would be easy parts for them to cut and paste into a jam for Shawn to go nuts over. :)

  • Senza parole!!!!immensi

  • Totally awesome. I think Anders really spurs Jonas on to kick ass that much more. With Anders behind him Jonas enjoys himself and gives in to the shred.

  • I cant wait to meet Jonas & buy one of his bass amps.

  • Hey Anders, thanks for posting this - this jam sounds like something based on one of the tunes off the 'e' you and Jens did with Jonas. Speaking of which, if you have any videos of the 'e' band I'd love to see them. You guys are all fuckin' beyond!!!

  • Is that Shawn with _short_ hair??? If so, this video is priceless for that fact alone, let alone the great music.

  • Shawn Lane in my opinion was such an incredeble guitarest and so under rated. What a loss for the music world!Any one who liks this guy should check out the c.d. time is the enemy or abstract logic.Shawn was pure magic with jonas hellborg and jeff sipe.

  • @progbc i agree 100%, but abstract logic wasn't with jeff it was with kofi baker. :)

  • Anders Johansson is one of this world´s most uncompromising and brutal drummers. A natural force. He becomes the musical leader of any constellation! Musically outstanding! What authority!!! The other guys are pretty good to!

  • what's the name of the piece they're playing, and what recording (if any is it available on). I gotta say that from as little time as I've been acquainted with Shawn and jonas' work, the two are surely amazing musicians (and certainly NOT just amazing technicians).

  • The last tune, the theme of Pippi Löngstrum series was composed by Anders' father, Jan Johansson, a great jazz pianist died in 1968.

  • All I can say, is brilliant...I like the musicianship here. I feel alot of other guys doing this type of genre, often have instructional videos out, charting their own ego; they have no soul in their playing!! Jonas is the dogs bollocks. I wish he would tour more

  • good rare video-cool stuff!

  • the good die young

  • That read wrong! The fools were the thousands who would not stop and listen, obviously! Just wanted to clarify. Peace

  • Thanks for sharing this Anders - Shawn was the just most beautiful guitar player/musician.....

btw, is that story about you first hearing Shawn at a laundromat/music store true ? would love to hear your version.

    thanks.

  • I first heard Shawn at a state fair in Arkansas. Baxter co. He was keeping about 12 people entertained! Fools! He blew my mind. I was just like, forget guitar! My bud was there and he is great on guitar, he felt the same. Just amazing. So soulful that day, melodic. Peace

  • YEAH!!!!!amazing display of talent, been following all you guys longer than I care to admit. please keep posting! They are appreciated.

  • Amazing stuff. Thank you sir.

  • This is amazing stuff, didn't even know this video existed. Thanks for very much for posting this, Anders, awesome to see you on YouTube!
