I worked at Butterwell as a Fitter's Mate For Taylor Woodrow, the first time I got to go on the 1550 was awe inspiring.
Sadly we've seen the last of the Big Machines like this here in the UK.

I saw photo's of Big Geordie being cut up for scrap, quite recently at a Vintage Working Day, the guy that had the pics said it was heartbreaking to cut the machine up. It made me sad just to see his photos. Big G; was a great piece of engineering.
