  • Great audio and I am quite impressed that you receive mil SATCOM with only a dipole antenna. Frankly, it's videos like the which got me back into scanning the VHF and higher frequencies again. To listen to more of these satellietes I see a 250 MHz, RHCP helix in my future. However, since I live on a small sailboat, that could prove to be a bit problematic! ha ha

Thanks for Posting the video -

  • lol thats badass im gotta try that one day

  • @GMSamuelRhine

Unless you want to get stamped with a criminal record, fined and have your equipment seized I won't recommend it

  • @NZScanner shit you got a good point there

  • @GMSamuelRhine

With analog radio if you troll a couple of times in a public place your likely to get away with it. But continuous use can be tracked with direction finding. The famous brazilian satcom pirates got caught. There was also another case of someone who got prison in the US for jamming marine distress, police and fire frequencies.

  • @NZScanner hmm i might try it ill have to think about it. but it shoulnt be much of a problem im more of an analog person too

  • US(e) military satellites - for brazilian folks ! :)

  • What are they using to communicate over US military satelite modded HAM radio equipment???

Now everyones go the Jail.... haheuaheuahe

  • Yes they are hijacking the frequencies... its hilarious duude... the US obviously traqcked some down and got them arrested.. there was a brazillian in New Jersey Caught ... he was fined 20,000!!!! hahahah

  • lol this is hillarious they hijacking us satelits to chat LMFAO

  • what are pirates? i mean on milcom.

  • Last week the Brazilian federal police arrested more than 20 pirates and their equipment used to invade the milsat .. There was help from the U.S. Department of Defense indicated that the geographical coordinates of pirates..

  • They are Brazilian pirates .. Most of them are truck drivers

  • I often hear these 2, they blast into norfolk, UK

  • portuguese

  • Lol, IF they are in fact jacking the link, they'd better watch their backs. It's beyond easy to trace them.

  • it´s not pirates in Bradil and portugal thaht frecuences is legal, they speak by satellite repeaters

  • just for interest, how does it exactly work?

I assume you are receiving the outgoing freq. that is 255.550mhz. But what frequency is the incoming tx they are transmitting on.?! are they on ghz using huge dishes or lower band?

  • Cant believe they use analog voice.

  • this is the second one with brasilians messing up ,,, stuuuupid

  • Hello,

This is a Pirate from Northeast of Brazil.

They are speaking a Brazilian Portuguese.

It is a shame,I am sorry.

  • Actually from Minas (Governador Valadares), southeast of Brazil.

  • I think he is ordering stir-fried chicken and chips. but the cheif wants nowt to do with chips

    LoL

  • Brazilian pirates. They use this frequency almost all time, I think 255.550 is a kind of central frrequency where they always stay in QAP.

    73s

  • does any one know the up link freq for this, what you are listening to is known as the down link, but whats the input freq.
