This is the worst make up for photos. If you don't do your make up eyes, the lights of the studio will eat them (explain myself?), and your eyes, even if they are absolutely beautiful, will look poor and without any expression, I personally recommend to wear a sultry smokey eyes if you are taken a photoshoot.

wow... some of the tips were okay, like don't to too much to cheek AND eye... but the darker foundation and no powder? No way... stupidest suggestions... I'm on photo camera a lot and i don't look cakey even if I use concealer and powder... if it does, its not the method, its the product itself.... get a new concealer or powder!

SO I am doing makeup for my school portrait, and I like how the darker foundation looks on camera. But I have to be at school for a few hours before I get the pictures taken, and I don't want people to think I look bad during the day, even though it translates well on camera.

What would you reccomend?

I won't have time to apply foundation right before the pictures

never go with natural it looks like your not trying hard enough always do dark lipstik but never too dark do the eyeshadow whatever color matches the outfit your wearing then do a very light eyeshadow right under your eyebrow and the blush just do a nice light pink. thats all you need to know to do good make-up!

It's interesting how she says to avoid using powder, when virtually EVERYTHING I've seen about photography says to use powder. (Matte powder) In these photos as well the model could obviously have benefitted from the powder, as it would reduce her "natural" shininess...

I also generally hear to avoid lip gloss unless you want insanely shiny lips.

Interesting makeup tips, some are good, but I wouldn't call this "photography" makeup.

This video is titled "Best Makeup for Photo's". I did not hear her say anything about best make-up to use and she left out a lot of information. This is very confusing. I hear so many conflicting tips on what to wear for photography. I hear "use neutral tones", then I read somewhere else "use high pigmented colors".......urrgghhhh

@bgoldrock high pigmented and neutral dont has to exlude each other.

high pigmented means that the produkt has alot of pigments in it (no matter wat color its is) so it covers much more than a lower pigmented product.

neutral means no screaming colors we also say monochromatic. so matching your natural skin lip and eye colors.

also there is no "best" product! everybody has different skin, so u need different products and workflows.
