I got my violin just today and I'm getting my first lesson sometime next week, It was my choice and I love the violin's sound so much. Hopefully My 5 years of piano will help the violin sound XD

PWAHAHAHAHA welcome to the club lol. but i'm now getting good at mine. violin is easy really. as long as you get used to the finger movements and you can read music you're done... it's not like a guitar haha. it'll be easy cos it's only 4 strings and not 6 :P

good luck... you probably already know how to play though since it's been 2 year right?? please update us on your progress if you still play and haven't left the violin to pick up dust LOL

JUST fyi you are holding the bow wrong. and make sure that when you are playing your wrist isn't touching the neck of the violin. hope this helps!

Nice vid. I noticed that your right(bowing) wrist is real stiff. Take a look a some pro violininst and you will see the difference. Do you warm your muscles up before playing? That may help.

haha I don't think my violin is out of tune, I think I had my fingers in the wrong spots :D But I'll take it in to make sure it's tuned probably this weekend :)

And, I do have a shoulder rest, but I was trying to practice without it... however, I've started using it because I've been practing A LOT and it started to hurt my shoulder =/

good luck with the violin, the more practice the better you will get, usually when im on my pc i have my guitar or bass with me, so when im idle i just play.  you could do something like that, but, the positioning would be hard haha.
