  • I own this car. Worst car I've ever owned IMO. Poorly designed engine burns oil profusely at 140k miles. Poorly designed transmission fails before the odometer reaches 100k. Power steering failed at 135k, alternator at 137k, radiator at 140k, 3 out of 4 engine mounts at 145k. Electrical problems like crazy. 2 previous owners, both drove it like elderly people drive. A car of enduring quality? I think not.

  • the 1994-1998 Mitsubishi Galant was assembled in

    Okazaki, Aichi

    Normal, Illinois

    Barcelona, Venezuela

  • 95 Galant - Good reliable japanese car! Only problem was with automatic transmission! Now I have a 99 Toyota 4 runner! Much Better!

  • this car sucks i have it sitting in my front yard the Florida sun has been bad to it and every time i drive it, it screams like no tommorow

  • Maintenance?

  • Acually it was driven right, my mechanic said there have been a lot of probs with them nt shifting rite.other car forums have said the same. Not tryin to say your stupid jsu goin by personal experience and what other ppl say. The new one I have now likes tpo hard shift the same way in second. I was easy on it all year. Maybe its our winters?

  • haha thats funny, My trans went in my 98 galant after 88k they dont hold up that well IMO, Motor yes tranny NO

  • actually, the trans isnt bad unless you drive it like an idiot. like neutral dropping or not fully stopping before shifting from n to d or d to r or r to d. i know a lot of people still on the og tranny and have more than 200k on the odometer.

  • i had a '95 with 198k on it when i sold it and the tranny worked fine and had no issues despite me trying to race my galant all the time like it was a import tuner car. can't say the same for the rack and pinion which gave out between 175k-185k. but i had fun with it.

  • nice!!
