If you live near downtown then its in little tokyo, but if you dont, theres one that it is in Hacienda Hieghts across from the 99cents store that one is very good also
Thank you for sharing this. I have always wanted to go to Japan and or a Japan Town in the US, but none are in my area of TX. The closest thing I have is a few Pho places and a Chinese supermarket. Never the less, it was interesting to look at. But $7.50 for a bowl of ramen!?! How is that cheap? I understand it is a big bowl and I suppose things are more expensive in LA... but $7.50!?! Wow... anyway, thanks again.
Yea... my ignorance led me to believe that this was expensive. I also think it was one of the first ramen videos I had watched and have thus seen many more. $7.50 is about average in Japan, usually being any where from 500 yen to 1200 yen. But to me 750 yen is still too expensive, maybe not for what you are getting, but for my means of living. But I have begun to learn how to make ramen from scratch, minus the noodles so far, and do not buy that instant Ramen crap any more.
ive noticed that most stuff sold in little tokyo is labeled in yen. are there some shops that label their stuff in us dollars also? and do you have to speak japanese if you want to go to one of the restaurants in little tokyo?
I wanted to go here so bad but my cousin wouldn't take me because it was late and he said its where the Japanese gangs hang out, Any suggest where to go when i go? Im going next summer
@TokyoAro cool you should also visit the art gallery and museums there in little tokyo los angeles, as well as 3rd street promenade in santa monica next to the beach, go to hollywood and highland and find a bar, and go to rodeo drive in beverly hills for shopping-art galleries-restaurants =D
nice video. there are lots of countries i would like to visit but i don't like the idea of traveling over seas. japan is one of those places. I really don't like Japan's laws either. being able to visit and explore other cultures in my own country is great.
maybe i'll visit Little Tokyo sometime, that's just one more to add to my list of places to visit! :D
hey any one know if little tokyo still has that one manga store..if so where exactly is it cause my gf is driving me nuts bout this one manga and i wanna surprise her...help anyone that knows the area well
i went their so many time but i didn't go to frying fish i thought it was fish and something that smell in side ha ha... i don;t believe that u r japanese u r 100000 % white ... :p
It honestly depends where you go. ALso, I highly recommend bringing cash for many of the smaller eateries, cuz most of them are cash only. It's fairly reasonable pricing for food, just it depends on what you want.
If you guys are looking for Imported games, manga, anime, or anything in japanese nature. You'll find it at little tokyo. I've lived in California for about 20 years of my life...but i live in Oregon now. But have visited little tokyo many times. Everything there is great. And if you're interested you can even check out the buddhist temple. They have services on sundays. Check it out. Oh and great movie guy. あれがすきです
I want a japanese girl friend, booo, hooo, hoooo, hooooooo~~~~..... *Cries* Anyone want to visit Little Tokyo with me?! Send me a message or something.
I'm going to Little Toukyou this weekend, any recommendations on places to eat and places where I can get untranslated literature/manga? 日本語を知っています。でも、僕は漢字ができません~二年生だT_T
Yes!! I just went. Go to Orochan ramen, and theres a book store in that little area. It has translated and untranslated manga, anime, books, they have everything there, its sooo awesome
Orochan ramen is pretty good. Pic something with a little spice..cuz I had the Miso..it aws pretty bland. Also the guy from Man Vs Food went there, there is his picture. Also, Kinokuniya Bookstores is great. AND THAT RAMEN fills you up. :)
great video clip! you did a very good! i really enjoy making videos like that but i am still not very comfortable in front of the camera. i made a video of the hungtington garden with myself talking in front of the camera and another video of the lacma but i looked so retarded in those videos. hahahaha. so i don't dare to post them on youtube.
