One thing I can't work out so far, if these drivers have enough trouble making the distinction between the steering wheel turning the car, and the accelerator and brake, why in all these shows, and in real life, do they give them manual cars? I like driving manual because it takes some of the monotony out of daily driving, but surely all of these people should be buying cars with auto transmissions?
I'd like to see adv instructors control a car with no ABS, like driving on ice.

Driving lessons? i would like to see what their driving lessons are like if they are using thier skill and knowledge from them to use for this course. All you are taught in lessons is safey and correct methods of driving. But as you said this is a tv show so they are going to throw this in for abit of spice.

How old is that car and are the saftey regs different in the UK to Aus I wonder. At 5:25 you can clearly see the windscreen shatter into shards of glass. I've been in a couple of fairly serious crashes here in the UK (though never as a driver thankfully) and I can tell you a UK windscreen will NOT do that!
It will break but it will still hold in one piece, windscreens like on the above aren't used anymore as they are very dangerious.
think the reason why id does that is its a cheap pos hyundi and for some reason they just get into out standards... the new fords and holdens the big brand cars do not shatter like that.
its not the windscreen, look closer,"clearly" its the driver's side door window, the windscreen stays intact, just because its a hyundai doesnt mean its safety regulations are any less strict than a mercedes for example.......
