Don Ross, you are the man. never stop making music. unless your fingers fall off or some shit and then I will continue you give you my money, because your music is amazing.
@GarretsShadow I don't think he is saying that... He's not implying that Don didn't work hard to get to where he is; just that, in addition, he also obviously has a lot of natural talent. Whether you can attribute that to a god is up for debate, but I really don't think he's in any way implying that Don hasn't worked hard. I mean c'mon, that doesn't even make sense =P
The great thing about Ross as a composer is how sweetly musical he is. Some pyrotechnic guitarists leave me glancing at my watch or secretly working on my grocery list while they pound away, but Ross engages and transports me first, and only then do I say "wow!" and third, "yes and by the way oh please let me play the guitar half this well one day". If life were fair, musicians like him would be multimillionaires instead of the hack pop artists who are..
Let's you go back in time, remembering your old friends and reminds you there is something, no matter how small it is, worth living for... Like like like! :)
@djentangle It's really fun to play! I started working on it the day it came out and got about half way through on my crap acoustic before being satisfied with what I did figure out by ear, lol.
i just did a concert with don ross he came to my highschool arthur voaden secondary school, he was with my class for 4 days it was amazing he tought us a whole bunch of songs.... KEEP IT UP DON
You have to love that rich, full-bodied sound. Smooth, deep, comforting. Fellow YouTube-goers, if you are listening to this song on something other than decent speakers with a good low range, you aren't getting the full Ross experience.
Compositionally, I think this is by far the best piece by Don Ross. I mean, the music is still strophic in many aspects, but this piece is much more melodic than some of his others (which are more rhythmically driven), and I love it!
there are apparently 8 deaf people that have watched this video, either that or they don't play guitar and sit around listening to Justin Bieber. does anyone know what tuning he uses? it sounds like the E string is tuned down to C...is that right?
@legaultblackheart the tuning for "From France To India" is as follows: Bass E tuned down to C...A string tuned down to D...and the rest of the strings are unchanged. I hope this helps!
If you were to ask me for something and use 'plz' because it's shorter than 'please,' I would say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes.'
Other than that, the tabs are almost certainly available from CandyRat's store. If they are not now, they will be, so check back and, you know, be patient.
@todesfaelle070 no prob! i do a cover of this song. i learned it by ear in about three hours. i am going to upload a less-mistake-ridden version soon.
This man NEVER ceases to amaze me. This is just pure talent!!! I'm in awe every single time I hear him.
