  • any ideas on the tuning?

  • @010010ryan CFDGBE

  • Improvisation!

  • holy! genius.

  • 12 Death Metal fans

Don Ross, your music is shining up my days

  • Lots of colour, really great.

  • Beautiful...made my ears very happy

  • Oh. My. Buddha.

  • @aguythatisasa buddha ain't from india btw

  • @ph0ronopsis Oh you! I do know.

  • It's funny how right after Lexus tries to say they've engineered "amazing", Don Ross comes on and shows them what engineering amazing REALLY is.

  • Does anybody know what guitar he is using?

  • @ashleylovesllamas That looks like his Beneteau Custom Longscale.

  • Don Ross, you are the man. never stop making music. unless your fingers fall off or some shit and then I will continue you give you my money, because your music is amazing.

  • herro i rikee

  • this man(D,R) is CRAZY.....(hahahaha)

    magic music...

    nikos(athens)

  • don ross is a fuckin boss. i'm about to buy the tabs regardless of the cost, cuz with tunes like these it's easy to floss.....gosh.

  • Tuning: A W E S O M E

  • WOW.

  • What did he wear on his right thumb?

  • @GerardoArwi57 It's called a thumb-pick. It's a pick, on your thumb :D

  • @TheSuperdude247 And Don 't forget his perfect control and awesome tone ;)

  • that was magical

  • haha his uncut strings are dancing at the tuning pegs

  • I just wanted to say I really enjoyed listening to you play, thanks for sharing this.

  • Beautiful wouldnt even be the word to describe that piece.

  • Un petit bonjour de France !

    (I love your music)

  • Excellent song.

  • God gave you an amazing talent!

  • @sergeykrivov actually he practiced and worked hard for a long time....he didn't wake up one day and find he could play guitar like this

  • @GarretsShadow I hate it when people say that stuff... lol thank you for responding to that.

  • @GarretsShadow I don't think he is saying that... He's not implying that Don didn't work hard to get to where he is; just that, in addition, he also obviously has a lot of natural talent. Whether you can attribute that to a god is up for debate, but I really don't think he's in any way implying that Don hasn't worked hard. I mean c'mon, that doesn't even make sense =P

  • @GarretsShadow it would be nice though wouldnt it...???

  • NO!

    Tuning W O W F T W

  • cool

  • The great thing about Ross as a composer is how sweetly musical he is. Some pyrotechnic guitarists leave me glancing at my watch or secretly working on my grocery list while they pound away, but Ross engages and transports me first, and only then do I say "wow!" and third, "yes and by the way oh please let me play the guitar half this well one day". If life were fair, musicians like him would be multimillionaires instead of the hack pop artists who are..

  • He is good... But can he touch his nose with his tongue ?

  • pure genius

  • jesus love it!

  • Let's you go back in time, remembering your old friends and reminds you there is something, no matter how small it is, worth living for... Like like like! :)

  • fantastic, I might have to buy the tab for this song and give it a shot... great song, keep up the awesome work!!

  • @djentangle It's really fun to play! I started working on it the day it came out and got about half way through on my crap acoustic before being satisfied with what I did figure out by ear, lol.

  • First song in a long time to make me actually dig it!

  • THis is so cool, the transitions.. omg

  • looks like there is 10 people who don't know what is music

  • this reminds me of one of those supper happy moments in one of those disney movies

  • it kinda takes you on a little trip

  • It must get annoying when your music sucks the colour out of the air to fuel the awesomeness of his music.

  • Certainly up there with Emmanuel's Angelina. Great tune.

  • excellent

  • from FRANCE TO INDIA!! WOW!! am going to FRANCE FROM INDIA next month for the first time ever--so excited!!BRAVOOO DON .

  • This tuning gives a very bright sound. Very nice.

  • Don Ross = Boss.

  • Comment removed

  • This is a 4:52 song that feels like a whole year. You simply just tell me the greatest travel story... thank you from my heart : )

  • excellent

  • Dons music helps me get through each day. A complete and total inspiration to us all. Thank you dearly Don.

  • beautiful Job Don!!

  • Wow. I love this song!!! I listened to it a few times in a row. New favorite thank you!

  • Quite positively one of my favourite songs now.

  • YOU get YOUR hair cut! It's much better!

  • Don - awesome, awesome awesome!

  • no more barbarian way of playing, good improvement, more feeling.

  • This one gives me the same feel i have while listening to "it's your favorite" by Jimmy Wahlsteen.. Don is great !! I love CFDGBE too ..

  • Beneteau.....very expensive guitars....

  • WOW!

  • Anyone know what kind of guitar that is?

  • @ryankennymusic I think its an acoustic :)

  • @Mireen32 LOL you are correct. Does anyone know what make or model that guitar is*** hahaha

  • @ryankennymusic Looks like the same guitar he used in his Klimbim video. I think that has the guitar details in its description.

  • 9 people who dislked this, dont understand what music is...

  • Awesome simply awesome

  • OMG i just found out he was born on the same day as me! Too bad some off his talent didnt rub off on me :P

  • I love the energy he has when he plays!

  • Tuning C F D G B E

  • @DonRossMusic Same tuning as the Gnarls Barkley "Crazy"?

  • @DonRossMusic Thanks for posting the Tuning. You are righteously talent my friend.

  • classic roadtrip music really fits in with the title of the song...

  • what tuning is this

  • @zoodog12345678 i think it's in open C...i'm not sure what it is but that's his signature tuning soo... :)

  • 8 просто козлы

  • something about 8 people, dislikes, justin bieber, fake accounts, and lady gaga

  • You have to love that rich, full-bodied sound. Smooth, deep, comforting. Fellow YouTube-goers, if you are listening to this song on something other than decent speakers with a good low range, you aren't getting the full Ross experience.

  • he Makes it look so easy... (sigh) why do i bother i'll never be that good. , Don ross kicks ass though awesome guitar player loooooads of talent. :)

  • @guitarplayer354 Practice practice practice...you will surprise yourself.

Guitar playing is mostly in muscle memory and desire, that' what I've gathered from every good player I ask the "secrets" from.

  • Whats the make of that guitar ?

  • I wish I could buy his albums somewhere other than online!!!!

  • @Schuytown yea dude.. i dont have any possibility to buy things online so i just cant get his albums :(

  • I want to write good music like this man. Where do I start?

  • I wonder what goes through his head when he sits down to write a song...

"oh I'm just gonna write a badass song as always, no big..."

  • I love the harmonics at like 2:29 and what not. its so awesome!!!

  • Encore un morceau qui fait mouche ... merci

  • Compositionally, I think this is by far the best piece by Don Ross. I mean, the music is still strophic in many aspects, but this piece is much more melodic than some of his others (which are more rhythmically driven), and I love it!

  • Im totally gonna learn this song...someday...in the farrrrr future...haha

  • there are apparently 8 deaf people that have watched this video, either that or they don't play guitar and sit around listening to Justin Bieber. does anyone know what tuning he uses? it sounds like the E string is tuned down to C...is that right?

  • @STmarks626 The two lowest strings are dropped by a major third each. So E = C and A = F

  • how come all ds awesome guitar playrs are from canada???

  • @IRLPOKERBRAT13 nothing better to do..

  • @IRLPOKERBRAT13 They have plenty of time to practice inside, due to the cold winters. Cheers from Houston Texas.

  • it was worth the 5 minute loading time to listen to this song

  • i like it

  • I HATE 8 PEOPLE

dont waste your time looking up talented people you can go back to looking at Justin Biebers music

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, Sir Don Ross is back.

  • what tuning is this?

  • @legaultblackheart the tuning for "From France To India" is as follows: Bass E tuned down to C...A string tuned down to D...and the rest of the strings are unchanged. I hope this helps!

  • @STmarks626 Actually, the 6th string is tuned from E down to C and the 5th string is tuned from A down to F, not D.

  • and i met him this year HAHAHAHA!!!!

    hes so amazing!!!

  • i could listen to this all day long and never be unhappy

  • if enough people want, i can post a tutorial through some of the more difficult parts. don't be turned off by my cover, i play it way better now lol!

  • @whatsstandard

i would love a tutorial on from france to india

    please please please

  • i tried to play this and insulted myself in the process...WHYYYYYY

  • NOOOO, ADVERTISEMENTS!

  • Thats not a baritone guitar is it? Its regular?

  • Who knew Silent Bob rocked it so hard?

  • When i grow up, i wanna be like him. =3

  • I WANT THE TAB

    PPPLLLLLLZZZZ

  • @Gatorsrule213

If you were to ask me for something and use 'plz' because it's shorter than 'please,' I would say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes.'

Other than that, the tabs are almost certainly available from CandyRat's store. If they are not now, they will be, so check back and, you know, be patient.

  • Does anyone know what tuning this piece is in? :(

  • @todesfaelle070 CFDGBE

  • @whatsstandard Thanks a lot, man. I definitely appreciate this. :D

  • @todesfaelle070 no prob! i do a cover of this song. i learned it by ear in about three hours. i am going to upload a less-mistake-ridden version soon.

  • Another great piece, Mr. Ross.

  • this sound really funky

  • This song is hardcore

  • OH MAN THIS SONG GOES HARD

  • Just keeps getting better each time I listen to it.

  • This man NEVER ceases to amaze me. This is just pure talent!!! I'm in awe every single time I hear him. And probably the major thing why I appreciate and love this type of music so much, is because I'm not afraid to turn it down when my children walk in the room or get in the car because of inappropriateness ...they enjoy it too! Now this is music...keep up the great work!

  • @WyseOne i think that if you raise your kids to listen to this kind of music they'll do just fine when they get older =) .

  • @L0RDFR3NCHY Thanks!! I totally agree! And the best thing about this type of music is that it will never grow old and I will never get tired of hearing it. Something new is out all the time! LOVE IT!

  • @WyseOne He's friendly.

  • JUST WOW... beautiful melody... great!!!

  • great tune!!!!great tone!!!!!

  • Hey Don I'm just curious on what kind of strings do you use...med., light, or does it just depend on the guitar you use?

  • wonder if this guy ever breaks strings? killer skills

  • @TrooperCX Of course he does, they wear down over time. Even those with amazing skills need to change their strings on occasion.

  • It's beautiful Don! I loved it the first time I heard it (when it was still untitled) :)

  • What a beautiful melodic tune :))

    Cool tuning...btw !!

  • great piece of music! any plans for playing in Germany again in the near future ? Hope to see you live someday.
