She does ! Do u know that Chaalbaaz was supposed to be released for spring 1990 and Nakabandi for 1989 ? But against odds, the latter was a late release ( u can tell from the storyline) , while Chaalbaaz was a much earlier release and Shridevi had done the entire climax scene in only one day ! What a star !

If Chaalbaaz was released in 1990, she would have won the filmfare award that year and in 1989 for Chandni.

Definitely , Rohan , then she'd have been the **only** actress to have won the Best Actress for 3 sequential years . In fact , she deserved it for EACH year from 1989 till 1994 , inclusive !

Nakabandi was much late release from the 80s ( u can tell from the storyline) ;though it the screenplay was too weak, the audience watched the movie *just* for Shridevi and it was moderate success .

And so was Roop Ki Rani, which was supposed to be released in '90 too , but Shekahr Kapoor left the project and the movie took too long a time to be done ; otherwise the movie wud've been at least a Hit on B/O.
