Amazingly, i'd never heard this before. Always liked this song, but i hate C&W, so this is a real bonus. I knew Chrissy back in her Blackheath (London) days, very well actually. This song is interesting, because it is a bit 1955 and hit big right in the middle of the sexual revolution. It was big on AM radio in the part of Ohio that Ms. Hynde grew up in, when she was a teenager. Her interpretation strengthens the woman's side of it. It gives you the feeling that she is just as much to blame for the transience of the liaison as the man.
