I never was a supporter of the death penalty and this is one of many reasons. If there is even the possibility of putting even one person to death then that is too much risk. With life in prison you can at least let the person go but once you murder someone it's final no matter how much they are or arent proven innocent.

I also think it was injustice to say that the Supreme Court granted Troy Davis a week 7 days stay of execution in his 2nd hour of execution to only say it was 4 hrs not a stay of execution. That in itself was unhumane...

The new found 7 eyewitness who recanted there stories and said who the real killer was~ as their voices were never admitted into a new case thus serving injustice to Mr. Troy. I never was a supporter of the death penalty and this is one of many reasons. If there is even the possibility of putting even one person to death then that is too much risk. With life in prison you can at least let the person go but once you murder someone it's final no matter how much they are or arent proven innocent.

I also think it was injustice to say that the Supreme Court granted Troy Davis a week 7 days stay of execution in his 2nd hour of execution to only say it was 4 hrs not a stay of execution. That in itself was unhumane...

There was NO physical evidence was found in the TROY DAVIS case... the evidence that was presented was that of eyewitness 9 people to whom the killer was 1 of the 9. The new found 7 eyewitness who recanted there stories and said who the real killer was~ as their voices were never admitted into a new case thus serving injustice to Mr. Troy. By the way what police officer see a crime happening with a gun doesn't say freeze with his gun pull out oh the criminal especially when a gun is present.

The justice system does not dole out revenge. The system avenges parties that have been wronged. Revenge can only come from the one whom the debt is owed to, that being the injured party, eg, sharia law. We need a legal system that rightfully avenges those that have been grievously misfortuned by the sinister and volitional acts of others. By the legal system doing so it curtails lynchmob and vigilante activity. Some conduct deserve death. All is necessary is that the system be consistence.

@MsPamAnn obama can only grant clemency to federal inmates. Troy Davis is a state inmate so you should ask where was the governor when Troy Davis needed him. Just because obama is black doesnt mean that he should overstep his bounds with state govt he can ask but he has no power in that jurisdiction. Obama cant even pardon a white inmate in the same situation in a state prison.

@LerdoBurgerPimp No justice was done. Georgia killed an innocent man and "Redd" Coles is still on the street threatening to kill everyone who he told he killed the police officer. Grow a brain and do some research. Revenge is NOT justice. This was the police wanting to kill someone since a police officer was killed. There is no physical evidence and 7 of the 9 jurors recanted. One of the other 2 is "Redd" Coles who bragged that he did it. Again do some research before you spout off.
