@vanniedog lol. This one was for a client in Canada and UPS totally destroyed it during shipping. SO it's not impressing anyone anywhere...it's history. Thanks though.
@CyberDruidtheModGod did you put attatch them to the drive bay cover? because i want 5 of those switches but i want to put them in the drive bay. how would i do that
@pptx100 Well if you have the skills to drill a hole I think you have it covered. I took it a step further and made a laminated black and green acrylic faceplate that I attached to a spare optical drive slot cover. The whole mod is themed black and green using black and green acrylic.

Ya, sorry to say it but this thing looks kinda gross. Looks like no airflow with all those tubes. If I was spending this kind of money I would've gotten a murdermod.
No offense, I know you just build these to the client's request.
because there are fans on the radiators and all the tubing restricts how much air can pass through. Even if everything is watercooled there are also other parts of the motherboard and power supply that create heat which needs to be ventilated.
I seriously considered that but the client wanted me to cross the botrder to deliver and I have no passport. Plus the expense was greater than the client wanted to afford...so we went with UPS. THe sad part is that I counselled him to insure the shipment for full value but he declined...the hundred he saved cost him thousands. it up and find out what happened.
Unfortunately I was so worked over and depressed by the UPS destruction of the rig that I stopped turn offering turn key builds. I still mod cases and so on...but I decided to stop shipping turn key.
If you only knew the whole story. UPS trashed the unit on the way to Canada. Filed claim in January and just now got the payout. It's hideous. They apparently dropped the whole case outside it's custom travel case...besides dents and scratches it destroyed the motherboard ad GFX cards (which weigh about 3 pounds each). Dropped it so hard it took the powdercoat off the edge of the wheels and broke the welded studs right off the side panel. And deformed the case. Sickening. FUCK UPS
And powdercoat and custom cut windows and vents and other openings, and twin radiators, twin pumps, 13 AC Ryan Fans, Custom reservoirs, QX9650, Asus P5E3 Primo, 4GB DDR3 1800, two HD4870X2, Areca1212, Auzen Prelude, BluRay, Two Velociraptors, 1200 watt PSU, mCubed T0Balancer, MiniNG, Sensorhub, Matrix Orbital Typhoon w/ remote, LL HotSwap, Icy Dock Hotswap, Custom wiring harness for fans and lights...and then me designing anmd building it.. There's $700 just in plumbing. And a travel case!
Sort of. The mCubed T-balancer is the fan controller, pump controller, temp monitor for the rig. It controls and relays info abou all that through the Matrix Orbital display via the used of the GUI (Naviogator). UNfortunately I could not get it to work with Vista 64 so all the vids I'v posted of it are running full speed: LOUD.
the mCubed devices that control the fan speed were not configured. The Vista 64 Operating System did not play with the T-Balancer Drivers. So all the fans were running 100%...that's loud. I never got that worked out and the owner felt confident that he could make it work so I set that aside. The mCubed stuff works fine with XP.
To make sure the rig arrived intact I sent it in an ATA travel case I constructed just for the client. The Case alone was over $500. 4" liner of foam!
X48 Chipset. Everything since P35 does that. Shuts off then restarts. I don't know why (technically) but there are some BIOS switches that can alter that POST behaviour.
Try not to sound like a n00b. I'll go easy on you because there is still hope for ya.
According to numerous flow tests by an expertion the field (martinm210 of XS and OCN) there is no discernable difference in performance between 3/8" and 1/2" when it come to the bottom line. And that would operating temps.
Bigger is not always better.
4C above ambient under load on the CPU and 15C above ambient on the GFX under load. These are OCed stats. That's proof.
I actually put that annoying little speaker in there. That annoying littlespeaker tells you a lot of stuff when you are OverClocking and bork the boot and need to CLR CMOS
I actually used it too but it pissed me off every time i pressed three keys together and it enabled that hotkeys thing... and started beeping, anyway great build 5/5 for sure
What a great thing to have in your house to show to girls when they come over i bet they love it

what controller is in the 5.25 drive bay
pptx100 1 year ago
@pptx100 It's just 7 military type switches for the lights. The fans are controlled by the mCubed stuff.

why do you need airflow when its watercooled? =/
DaMirrorLink 2 years ago
because there are fans on the radiators and all the tubing restricts how much air can pass through. Even if everything is watercooled there are also other parts of the motherboard and power supply that create heat which needs to be ventilated.
doomtomb3 2 years ago
thats why they are contained on the other loops, genius
and the radiator has airspace.
DaMirrorLink 2 years ago
dude, you obviously dont know anything about watercooling nor have you done any of this yourself. Just stfu
doomtomb3 2 years ago
not until you spell fully :D
DaMirrorLink 2 years ago
its practically impossible to 100% water cool yer pc...well short of submerging it in mineral oil.
the fans keep the boards and stuff cool not the working parts.

you should have driven the computer to canada instead and hand delivered it, to ensure survival
anyway, awesome build CD
