are those lighter drawings your initial sketches or are you tracing?

Before I do the pen and colour I mark the outline of the sprite on to graph paper with penci, and mark out all areas that are going to be black. It takes a while to copy it off my monitor and would be quite boring to watch, so I don't film it.

The black is a felt tip, the outline is a fineliner and the colours are Crayola pencil crayons.
