i don't know how to make combos on GGXXAC+, i'm training with all chars to see what combos i could do, but i only found 1 Sol combo, which is: 6P, 5S, 2HS, jump, j.5S, sidewinder, and that super that looks like Chad's El Directo (BLEACH)

@dapithapon nope these combos are very hard to do as they require something called false cancelling- its like a focus cancel tht can only occur during a specific time in the move- and requires precise timing.
@dapithapon it is - thts why GGX gains so much respect amongst hard core tourney fighters- its a hard and complex fighter- heres an example- a false cancel like i described is shown by blue rings- rewatch this vid and count the blue rings tht you see around the player as he does the combos and youll understand how precise the timing has to be

that being said some combos can take off half your life if you dont have burst-

And did you really just say it didn't have good replay value? The game had a ton of depth to master and to top it off it had a story mode for each character and a mission mode to complete.
@jiggatnk No, in my opinion it doesnt really have the depth. You just remember to do Cancels, RC and FRC and you're good. Just land one hit on an opponent and you're good for a combo. For me, the gameplay pretty much looks like: the guy who hits the opponents first wins. There's no faking, deception etc. like Tekken and SF provides, heck KOF does the deception thing now better than GG. I couldnt say anything about the story though, I watched the anime :)

The only fakes you get are the cancels, and ironically the cancels are used not for the deception but for extending the combos. Don't get me wrong but mixed ups and resets are the selling point of GG...and the style too. :)

@90sRetro I played GG first but without knowing the company, so then my bro luckyly got Blazblue cuz he thinked that was a good game,and damn he was right, and then when i played GG i noticed that was also arc that made it...

@TaurusType I haven't played a whole lot of GG, so maybe I'm wrong but GG plays a little bit faster than BB but is more complicated to play. Sol Badguy and Ragna pretty much play the same if you watch closely
@TaurusType Well basically, some people say the BB characters were based on GG characters. An if you look closely, you can find a lot of simular traits. Such as with Ragna and Sol, and with Ky and Jin. I personally think BB is the easier of the two to play, but GG has more characters to suit the player... but call it whatever you want.

@TaurusType this is basically Blazblue with each character having more tools and mechanics to fight with, and is about twice as fast as blazblue and there is a much larger cast. past that it's the same game. in my opinion it is better because arcsys has been working on it longer and had more iterations to improve the game.
@Rannosteachs im sorry but i must concur blazblue may not have had as many caracters but it had a larger branching story and further branching mechanics to which anyone can pick a character and find one to be good with guilty gear was mearly a predecesser and all the games were too much alike
@Kyuubi424 Lemme tell ya. Johnny's isn't one of the hardest, supposedly that would be either Potemkin or Zappa. But Johnny's element would be "Fire", cause he has rather limited flame attacks. His play style is usually rather quick attacks, and air combos would work well on him too. One of the main focus of Johnny is to "Throw the coin" at your opponent to get your sword level to increase. The number of hits and damage increase with the level. Then you press a certain key, and unleash power atk.
would be nice to see a GG fighting game on PS3. BlazBlue is cool and all, but it's not nearly as badass or fun as Guilty Gear. Only thing I can say BlazBlue does better is story.
@dracoblue23x I'm not gonna lie GG is a lot more fun for me but it's very difficult to master. Blazblue on the other hand is just as fun but simpler therefore easier to master.

@TaurusType I haven't played a whole lot of GG, so maybe I'm wrong but GG plays a little bit faster than BB but is more complicated to play. Sol Badguy and Ragna pretty much play the same if you watch closely

@ksmuffin Same creator, arc system. BlazBlue's concept is pretty similar. Story line too. Just like Sol and Ky, they have Ragna and Jin.

@TaurusType Well basically, some people say the BB characters were based on GG characters. An if you look closely, you can find a lot of simular traits. Such as with Ragna and Sol, and with Ky and Jin. I personally think BB is the easier of the two to play, but GG has more characters to suit the player... but call it whatever you want.

@chronocrosser yeah, but this one is more hardcore to play, so you don't always chain combos from weak to heavy,also you have to make cancels,and the most of them, for at least in this vid, takes lots of practice...

@chronocrosser It's easier to go from this to BlazBlue though. Just invert the C and D in BB, and your good to go.

@TaurusType this is basically Blazblue with each character having more tools and mechanics to fight with, and is about twice as fast as blazblue and there is a much larger cast. past that it's the same game. in my opinion it is better because arcsys has been working on it longer and had more iterations to improve the game.

@Rannosteachs im sorry but i must concur blazblue may not have had as many caracters but it had a larger branching story and further branching mechanics to which anyone can pick a character and find one to be good with guilty gear was mearly a predecesser and all the games were too much alike

I hear Johnny is one of the hardest Guilty Gear characters to use.
Could anyone give me an idea of what his element and playstyle is, etc?

@Kyuubi424 Lemme tell ya. Johnny's isn't one of the hardest, supposedly that would be either Potemkin or Zappa. But Johnny's element would be "Fire", cause he has rather limited flame attacks. His play style is usually rather quick attacks, and air combos would work well on him too. One of the main focus of Johnny is to "Throw the coin" at your opponent to get your sword level to increase. The number of hits and damage increase with the level. Then you press a certain key, and unleash power atk.

would be nice to see a GG fighting game on PS3. BlazBlue is cool and all, but it's not nearly as badass or fun as Guilty Gear. Only thing I can say BlazBlue does better is story.

@dracoblue23x I'm not gonna lie GG is a lot more fun for me but it's very difficult to master. Blazblue on the other hand is just as fun but simpler therefore easier to master.
