The guy who owned the house was set up by his wife. Adam & Joe gave him the money to restore the room afterwards, and Joe says on his MySpace blog that the guy was really nice about it! :)

Thing is, they would have replaced the original doors with their own before destroying them, and paintwork is easily put right. No reason to sue, especially when the channel offer you a fair bit of cash to allow it on telly.

Amazing vid! It's true that everything on domestic makeover shows is designed to look good on TV, but is probably crap in person. Real decorators HATE design shows for that reason. Good results aren't instant, and this vid sends it up brilliantly. 5 hours of work = a 5 hour result (i.e. crap). Reminded me of the Trading Spaces episode where the lesbian couple opened their eyes to see their rec room walls covered in straw glued to the wallboard. Drek.
