@cykillprime since I posted the comment I have found more flaws with this guy... like how snaptraps back left turtle leg just popped off in the night because the plasdtic was too weak to hold the joint. I will say that bbts shipped me a replacement snaptrap no questions asked so we will see...

@peaugh I just got this set for xmas! I was wondering... the figures themselves are top notch quality! The only issues I have are that the stickers are off place and the head of overbite will not pop into place in shark mode. Is it just mine or did you have similar head issues? I would like to know for my upcoming review...

@gregformercy The sticker issue seems to be common. Mine came with some stickers offset. But the figure itself its just efing cool. Maybe I will replace the stickers with some reprolabels.

with snaptrap, blast off, brawl, cutthroat,and breakdown you can make "scramble 7" who appeared for one story in a manga. he uses tentakil and one of the other seacons as a gun. this what you MAYBE made as a kid.

@ThePeblo To say it in a way that is more polite than the other response you got, the Predacons are Decepticons. Genarally anytime the name ends in "Cons" it's a Decepticon and anytime it ends in "Bots" it's an Autobot. It's easy to confuse them really, so no harm in asking a question. Once you have been following as long as I have (since 1984- Old Timer FTW!) you get the little "tells" on things like that. Sorry that one guy was an ass to you.

It's interesting to note that this waz the only other combiner besides Devastator to utilize 6 individual members, even if one IS only a weapon and not actually a part of the body.

I still always found that cool about him though. Also, it depends on your perspective. Some robots such as Shockwave actaully have their weapon as part of their body. So it's debateable whether or not the arm extension IS part of the body.

@goog96 Seacons are a great buy at this price and very nice (and may go up in price seeing how much the original is) but Masterpiece Grimlock is so awesome, I would go for Grimlock. MP Grimlock is one of the best TF ever in my opinion.

The hole on scalor is the same in my version of the g1 original. I don't know if they filled it in for the last collectors reissue, but the original definitely has it.

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned, and if I missed it in the comments, The 2 guns that come with skalor are combinable. ...at least on my original set they are. Nice video! the camera and backdrop you use now really help bring out the colors and details!

Good review! Just waiting for mine to arrive in the UK. I never had any of the Seacons as a kid, but my cousin had SnapTrap and Seawing so they will bring back some good memories of Transformers sessions as kids in the 80s. A good taster before Predaking arrives in November!

I started collecting transformers as a kid with Beast Wars (although I have some G2 stuff I got as gifts when I was about 5). I personally have never heard of these guys, but I find it cool to see some of the precursors to what I collected as a kid. The Manta Ray SeaWing really reminds me of Depthcharge from Beast ward for example. The dinobots also are precursors to BW I think too. Which is why I'm glad I still have my Blue Grimlock.

FYI Skalor does have that gap between his head and body. So just letting you know and good review. Some flaws like Snaptrap's head, but I think painting it black would fix that problem, but don't know about his hands. Still you'll think of something.

i remember getting this set for christmas when i was kid. i got the gift set from toys r us, but it only came with 5 of the seacons. the 6th lobster looking one wasnt included. I didnt even know there was a 6th one till a few years ago. another thing i seem to remember was the sword being pink and not chrome. either way, i preorderd mine online. this set brings back lots of memories for me!

Something I always found good for getting old school combiner transformers hands out, put there gun in the hole and use it as a lever, shouldnt break if you dont use too much pressure but it gives a bit of leverage
